Originally reviewed on my blog: SIK Book Reviews

Story/Plot: The plot development in this story is good and interesting. There were some moments, however, that I found myself a bit bored...like the story got a bit dull for my liking. But, for the most part, I was interested in the story and wanted to keep reading. One thing that really bothers me is that I feel that things/ideas in this series are not fully explained. If I were Zara (the narrator), I would be asking waaaay more questions. It seems like the narrator is content with merely knowing basic facts, with no further explanations needed. This bothers me...I constantly find myself craving more information. For example, after reading the third book in the series, I still feel as though I barely know anything about pixies, and yet the narrator is a pixie! What's up with that??

Characters: The characters are mostly the same in this novel as the previous two, minus one main character...which you know if you read Captivate. There is a sense of a possible love triangle blooming, which typically I don't like. But, it is very subtle and I won't say if anything is actually going to come of it. The love triangle is also done a bit differently than normal, as one angle of the triangle is not around.

Writing: Writing style is still not satisfactory to me...it's still a bit weak. However, I am finding less and less mistakes and I am able to become enveloped by the story, which is good.

Uniqueness/Creativity: The creativity and uniqueness is about on par with Captivate. Some aspects I am impressed with, others not so much.

Overall: I don't think I've mentioned anything yet about the covers of these books in either of my previous reviews of the first two books of the series. So, I figured I should comment on them now. I love the covers. I think they are are all beautiful and make me interested in reading the books. However, the covers are a bit deceiving...I would say that the covers are overall more interesting than the actual story. Not that the stories aren't good, just not my favourite. I love the covers though. Overall, this book was decent. It held my interest. But, again, the writing quality is not up to par with what I expect from an experienced writer.

Slightly lower rating for this one simply because it took them so bloody long to find Valhalla and for Mrs. Nix dying :( not so sad about Zara's dad because he was a manipulative asshole, he did redeem himself slightly with his sacrifice though. Slightly frustrated that Nick seemed to be OK with Zara as a pixie so quickly... Maybe Endure will have more problems. I'm kinda feeling Astley might be better for her now though. Nick loves her because he can protect her, Astley loves her for her. And he's an all round nice guy. Nick tries to control Zara at times which is something I hate.

But overall good. I liked meeting the nice pixies and I liked the scenes at Valhalla. And an interesting plot point regarding Astley's mother and Frank being his cousin. I look forward to seeing where that goes.

Now Amazon hurry up and deliver Endure so I can start reading!

This story is just amazing. Astley and Zara are still so adorable together but so is Zara and Nick. You learn more about Astley as the book goes on. It just brings you into the workd and it's just too great for words.

For some reason I thought this series was a trilogy and that this was the last one.... I was so very very wrong. There is going to be more!

Entice starts right where Captivate stopped.... Zara is a pixie... and she'll stop at nothing to find Nick. And she does not stop.... she will find him... or else. Don't read this next sentence if you have't read the book yet. (Was anyone else a little annoyed in Zara's quest.... I mean I'm glad she found him when she did, because I think if anyone else died because of her selfishness... ugh. I was going to loose it.)

The only character that I liked this time around was Astley. I respected Zara, but I think she made some very rash decisions.... she never seemed like that sort of character in the first two novels. I don't want to go as far as saying she was 'level' headed, but she just thought a little bit more about her actions before jumping into them. I think I missed that aspect of her. By the end of the novel, she did start to grow on me again! I'm looking forward to seeing her become the Queen I know she can be.

Dare I say that I am on Team Astley after reading this book.... we'll have to see how the next few books play out to be sure!

There is something very addicting about these novels. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I can't stop reading them once I start! I just love the story... the mythology, the pixies and Valhalla, it's all so very captivating.. enticing... mesmerizing.

Entice started out a little bit slow for me... I felt like we were jumping all over the place, but around page 104... I think the story really came to life! I CANNOT WAIT for the next book!

Entice is an awesome addition to the series... surprising characters, a plot that continues to thicken, Kings & Queens... and blood thirsty pixies, yes please!

After reading the third book in the series I am torn. I read the reviews and was determined to hate Astley. This is anything but true though. Astley cares immensely for Zara, and Nick is clearly more upset about what she is, even though he is a wolf. Judgemental much?! I will be going to get the final book tomorrow, and I really hope Zara chooses her King over her wolf. We shall see. The author continues to captivate her audience, and I honestly can't wait to jump into the final chapter of this pixie story.

Entice, the third book in Carrie Jones’ Need series, is just as good, if not better, than the first two. The story just keeps getting better and I am once again dying for more.

Zara is a pixie queen now so she should be able to bring Nick back from Valhalla, right? Wrong. Every time she and Astley get a clue something goes wrong and someone ends up dying. Can Zara bring Nick back from Valhalla before she loses everyone she loves or is he really gone for good?

Entice was full of action. From the very beginning Zara and her friends were kicking pixie butt. It seemed like every chapter had some sort of fight scene in it and I loved it. I had the hardest time putting it down because I didn’t know what would happen next. There were also some more deaths in this one and I was very sad about them. =[

Zara is still Zara. She may be a pixie queen now but she is still scared and insecure. She worries about people loving her and she tries so hard not to show her pixie side. Astley is the only one who really doesn’t care whether she is pixie or human. He was so great in this book. I am definitely Team Astley now.

Overall, Entice is a fantastic addition to this series. The next book cannot get here soon enough!

This book was good but I feel that it was very anticlimatic. I wanted a reunion of Zara and Nick but he was mostly unconcious... idk I'm interested in bk 4.

I Love Astley. She won't end up with him, but I still love him.
