OH my gosh this book was so good. My eyes were so full of tears I could barely read the last few pages.

I almost gave up on this book multiple times. I was drawn in from the beginning, but somewhere in the middle it was starting to lose me. I did find myself zooming through the pages, sometimes skipping some chunks in hopes of unearthing the secret. I am so glad I continued reading because the big secret was WORTH IT! I NEVER saw it coming.

A great story on the lengths one will go for love. Definitely had me engaged and thinking trying to figure out what was going on.
DO NOT read any spoilers.

If you are looking for a mind fuck look no further. This is gonna rock your world.

My only issue is I knew what the secret was pretty early on. Maybe I just have a great intuition. But I knew.

I think the storyline is captivating and dramatic. The story is racy and sexy. And I enjoyed it a lot.

I'm not going to say much more because I don't want to ruin this book for others.

I changed my 4⭐️ to 5⭐️ because I finished it in one sitting and woke up this morning STILL thinking about Brant and Lee. UGH.

This book was recommended to me by my friend Tina and it was great. It was amazing.

This book is different, I went in blind and it was the best thing ever. I was confused at first, but when it all starts to come together...ugh just amazing. I felt like fcking Sherlock Holmes when I discovered the twist. It's hard being a genius. lololol jkjk let me humble myself.

ANYWAYS. This was a great read and just so unique, I absolutely loved it and loved the characters. The way Brant and Lee love Layana and vice versa...ugh. SO BEAUTIFUL. I definitely recommend it to everyone who knows how to read. I said what I said.

REACTION AFTER READING THE BOOK

It wasn't good, but it wasn't bad either.
After finishing the book, I was just like... "Meeehh....".
I have read a book like this before, only I loved that one and slightly more realistic that this.
I think that was the reason why I sold this book. I didn't believe the story enough for me go love it.

THE PLOT

The plot was okay I guess.
I think it did a good job in keeping Brant's secret hidden, but there were hints of it. I guess it pretty quick because like I said, I already read a book like this. It wasn't as unpredictable as I wanted it to be.
I did like the unsequenced narrative. I think it would work greatly for those people who have not read something like this before. The element of surprise would definitely be there.

THE CHARACTERS

Layana: I guess she was a good character. I likes how she talks and how much she loves. She wasn't the typical poor shy girl who snagged a rich guy. She was already rich. She's a trustfund girl who had her life planned out for her, but she chose to let loose. I liked how she likes to take charge of the situation and not be placed on the sideline. But... the situation that happened with her and the.. Eheeemmm other guy, got me shaking my head. But other than that, she was okay. Nothing too special.

Brant: I liked him, but like Layana, he wasn't too special. What i liked about him was how perfect and broken he was at the same time. Did I tell you he was a nerdy, sexy guy? Hehe. Okay. Going back, there were times I didn't buy his whole existence but changed towards the later part of the book.

FINAL THOUGHTS

- I wasn't too surprised with the big secret which sucks big time because I felt that was the biggest let down for me.

- The characters were a bit too bland. I didn't connect to them which made me not care for them at all.

- I likes the unsequenced timeline on how this book was told.

- The sex scenes were hot at times, but lacking in some.

- What Layana did was too unrealistic for me.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. But it wasn't something I would highly recommend to my friends.

Hard to finish and story was totally dragging still at 60% complete. I figured I'd made it this far I might as well finish since I read the reviews and there was supposed to be a big secret revealed and twist in the story. Lana and Brant the main characters had a very boring love story, then comes Lee- Lana's man on the side. Lee was not very appealing to me even though he is supposed to be hot he still bugged me. No interesting turns until last 20% of book. I did like the last 10% of the book but up until then I really struggled to get through it.
