I do not wish to reread this book, a favorite long ago that I think would just irritate or gross me out now. Suffice it to say Geek Love is a highly original novel of which I have fond memories.

FUCKED UP. But really interesting and REALLY good.

I actually remember when this book came out (I think). And yet I never read it until it was chosen for my book club. I was drawn in because of the creepy stalker voyeur in me, but then I loved it because I had no idea where it was going, which is unusual. It's not always necessary, and perhaps aside from the uniqueness of the characters, this is nothing more than a family drama, but for whatever reason, I found the Binewskis' story wonderful, dreadful, repulsive and wondrous. The last section, with Oly describing herself in a myriad of fabulous prose-- wow.

Maybe the best book about loneliness ever.

Radically fabulous and inspiring, not like anything I've ever read. I wish I could meet the woman who wrote this.

Have you ever read a book and thought to yourself, "What did I just read?" This book goes one step farther and forces you to ask yourself with every turn of the page, "What am I reading?" This book is weird until the last page; it's not for the faint of heart.

You better hold on with this extremely unique, dark, and twisted book because you honestly don't know where you're going to end up. I thought that I was just going to be reading some run-of-the-mill book (if there's such a thing) about a family of human oddities but, boy, was I mistaken. The shocks come hard and fast; prepare to be disgusted, amazed, confused, and delighted.

um.
