THIS WAS SUCH A GOOOD BOOK! it was so easy to read and cute and i honestly was smiling at my book the entire time AAAA

I'm going to be completely honest, I got a lot of whiplash reading this book. Max was obsessed with Joelle one second then pushing her away/getting angry with her in the next chapter. It really didn't make sense. The "plot" was Max getting angry/annoyed for reasons I genuinely can't remember. He was sweet at some points but I found it hard to believe that by the end of the book he was in love with her. And why the hell would someone turn off their phone for weeks on end???? It was a decent read but I would not recommend. The family aspect of this book was its one redeeming quality, very endearing and made my heart feel full.

Oh. My. God. I loved this book so unbelievably much. Joelle was one of the most amazingly written characters. I adored her so much and even reading as she grew through out the book. Max sounded so dreamy even if there were times when he came off as so incredibly toxic. But, he always owned what he did and fixed it. They were such a great couple and complimented each other so well. Between laughing and crying, I absolutely could not put this book down. So wonderfully written.

I hate hot and cold guys: don’t be nice and flirty one second and cold and stony the next. Every time Max makes a mistake, the author tried to redeem him and justify his actions, but it just doesn’t work. Also, it’s such a toxic relationship: only intimate when whisky is involved. Broken up and then flip to the next page, moving in together.. um what?
If you’re wanting to read a cute love story, this will be a skip. The sliver of romance is spoiled with ample red flags.

Ever heard of therapy and mommy issues? The love interest is a full grown adult and is STILL as immature as a teenager. Honestly I wanted the book to be done since I was 40% in, wouldn’t recommend :(
