This is probably my favorite of the series. I liked all of the action, but the ending definitely felt a little rushed and forced. There were certain moments that were supposed to be tumultuous and climaxing (like Mirabella’s death) but it fell flat and didn’t really hit me as hard as a moment like that should have.

I’m sad that a series where I would love to visit this magical world is over. I’m sad there are no more stories of these 4 strong AF women.
I didn’t expect this book to end the way it did, and I have to give it credit for what it did. I didn’t love it overall, I had gotten a little tired of the drama of it all. But I did think that the author handled the war scene really well, and she did a good job of writing a nice ending without everything being wrapped in a nice tidy bow. I will say (and I feel this holds true for all of the books), what kept me going was the characters. I felt the characters were detailed and compelling, even when the story stalled.

My toxic trait is that I can’t *not* finish a series, even if the first three books were an utter waste of time. The fourth and final book earned ⭐️⭐️⭐️ for finally having some sort of plot motion.
