5 Stars!!

I loved this book! I always love a man's POV, so a whole amazing book from the perspective of Travis Maddox was at he top of my reading list. I couldn't put it down.

It's been like 2 years since I read Beautiful Disaster. I wanted to live it all like the first time so I didn't reread it before starting with Walking Disaster. Sometimes I felt like that was a mistake, because some parts were cut and I didn't remember them with so much detail so I was a bit confused, but nothing too drastic to make the book bad.

I think some of those parts, however, were important enough to be included in the story. For example, I would have liked to read the first time Travis sees Abby or how they meet from his POV. But the author made up for those scenes with the new ones.

I loved knowing more about Travis' family. His relationship with his brothers and their moments together were amazing. My favorite was Trenton. And of course, the prologue was fantastic! One of my favorite parts of the book, worth 5 stars.

I'm glad I read Beautiful Disaster first, because even though I didn't remember everything, I know Abby wasn't as bitchy as it looks here. Her point of view was one of the things that made me fall in love with Beautiful Disaster in the first place, so I think it was important to see both perspectives, but I consider Abby's had to be read first. Everyone knows men look at things more simply, so I can understand why the author left some parts out. I think she made a wonderful work writting this book, and she expressed Travis thoughts in a way that amazed me.

His feelings were so intense and powerful, some scenes made me hurt bad for him. A lot of things make more sense now, knowing about Travis past and why he did the things he did.

I liked the epilogue, but I felt like something was off, like there was a lot of time between the end of the story and the epilogue, but I liked it anyway. However, the prologue was much better.

My favorite parts were the fire scene, the morning after scene and all the intense moments and conversations between Travis and Abby.

The scenes I would have liked to read from Travis point of view and were skipped were when he meets Abby, when he gets the ring and tattoo, the wedding and a few more.

Travis Maddox was one of my first and favorite book boyfriends ever, and this book only made me love him even more. This was a very enjoyable and amazing book and I highly recommend it along with Beautiful Disaster.

Almost word for word for the first book, reading them back to back sucked. It didn't give me a better insight to Travis at all. The epilogue was probably the only good thing

loved it!!!

3.5⭐️ Travis’ POV was nice to hear, but didn’t learn anything new to the story. The epilogue was good though.

3.5 stars, full review to come ........

4.75. Wow I don’t even know where to start. I was so excited when I realized this book existed in Travis POV and ordered it as soon as I finished the first one. I’m so glad we got to see more of Travis’ family and their relationship along with seeing more of Shepley but I think I need a whole other book of Travis’ life before and a whole other book of Abby’s life before college.
I absolutely loved the epilogue as well, I just wished we could’ve seen more of America and Shep
I loved this book and everything about it

I was really disappointed with this book. I was so looking forward to it since I loved Beautiful Disaster but this was a major let down for me. As dramatic as "BD" seemed, especially the beginning and their unorthodox courtship, this one fell flat. It seemed like the important details from the previous one were glossed over here, I guess expecting that you already know what happens from the first one, but for me it seemed like something was missing. Especially for the first half of the book. The second half, as things get juicier in the story, got better, and I certainly still love Travis, but the overall effect left me wanting more. It would have been great to have one book that goes back and forth between Abby's and Travis's POV. But honestly, this book didn't add anything for me, but more played off of my previous love of BD. I'd save your money and just read Beautiful Disaster.

I was thrilled beyond belief when I learned through my favorite bookstore that "Walking Disaster" by the über talented [a:Jamie McGuire|4464118|Jamie McGuire|http://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1355507473p2/4464118.jpg] was being released in the Philippines two weeks earlier (March 21, 2013) than expected. ^.^ Thank goodness I already had the book reserved and, finally, after waiting four days since its release here, I was able to make the trip to the bookstore and pick up my paperback copy!

I loved being able to see the love story of lead characters Travis Maddox and Abby Abernathy through the former's eyes this time around. There have been a handful of books that I've read that have a chapter or two from the POV of the lead male character as part of the book (while there are other authors who offer this kind of POVs as free bonus material on their websites) but having an entire book in my hands was a new one for me.

Even though I was very familiar with the story of Travis and Abby (absolutely ADORED "[b:Beautiful Disaster|11505797|Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful, #1)|Jamie McGuire|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1358259032s/11505797.jpg|16441531]"), "Walking Disaster" still came off as being fresh and kept my interest all throughout. Travis' vulnerability was in full view in certain parts of the book and made me love this character even more than I did in the first book. His relationships with Shepley, his brothers, and his father were also even more endearing.

SpoilerThe epilogue in "Walking Disaster" tied the Mick Abernathy loose end as far as I was concerned. It took me a minute to actually imagine Travis and Abby more than a decade after their story began but it does present a nice perspective on their relationship.

Teared up a couple of times while reading the book and grinned like a fool in a lot of other scenes. All in all, "Walking Disaster" surpassed my expectations and solidifies my choice of Jamie McGuire as one of my favorite authors. Have read all her books so far and can't wait to see what else she has in store!!! ^.^
