Didn't hate it, but also didn't really love it. I really liked Robyn and Will and I liked the overall idea of the story, it just didn't do much for me other than help me pass the time with a nice enough story. I would've like it if we had gotten more of the romance/relationship part between Robyn and Will, instead of just the last chapter where everyone got their happy ending.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I gave this book 3 stars because I struggled with the British slang. The slow start and the British slang made it so I had to force myself to finish reading this book. The book has a good premise. It’s about Robyn who is trying to get over her boyfriend, but who is struggling to do that because she sees his face in his twin, who is also her friend. So, one day Roby and Will the twin, and friends. But then the ex-boyfriend comes back. The question now is how why does she not feel for him what she feels for his twin?

Outside of the British humor, and the bits of sluggishness, it really was a pretty good book. If people asked me about it, I would tell them to read it.

A light-hearted and sweet romance that is set in a small village in Yorkshire.

The first thing I liked about this book is the fact it's set in a small village in Yorkshire and I could really feel that from the characters. The concept of the Never Have I Ever club is very sweet and I enjoyed the fact that sometimes it seemed like the club was a bad idea but at the end it turned out to be a very good idea.

The characters are all well written and the secondary characters have enough depth you can relate to them but they don't distract from the story. As other readers have said, Aunt Fliss was great.

The friendship between Robyn and Will was adorable and the opening chapter - perfect. But I did not see much evidence of their relationship moving from platonic to "more than", I would have liked to have seen more chemistry between them. For a romance there was not much build up, though the sweet side stories made up for that.

From the synopsis, I got the feeling this was going to be a forbidden love kind of story, however, I was very far from the truth.

Ash appears pretty earlier on, and the romance between Robyn and Will only develops in the final chapters.

The first half is BORING! There…I said it! Ash and Robyn go on circles about the same thing over and over again. I get it, Ash screwed up BIG TIME and starts in the wrong way trying to apologize. However, Robyn really got in my nerves… I mean, girl you’ve been with him for 8 months. You’ve been friends since childhood, it couldn’t have been all that bad. I just can’t stand characters trash talking someone they supposedly love.

What saved this book, for me? The secondary characters! Freya is so much fun, I’ve laughed a lot. Really loved and respect Felicity, even when I didn’t agree with her choices. Such a loveable and true character!

Also, importantes topics on this one: a 35 year old single character! Robyn is single and doesn’t have kids and I loved it. We don’t have to do all the same things at the same age. Life is not a sprint. Really hated Robyn’s mom telling her she should have kids because she is old… sorry, lady, but not every women wants to have children, you don’t have the right to pressure another woman, even if it’s your daughter. Kids are not supposed to satisfy the grandparents. Just wanted to stat it!

Robyn Bloom was dumped by her boyfriend Ash who then moved to Australia as part of his mid life crisis. She struggles getting over the breakup and it’s hands harder because her ex’s twin brother lives next door to her. Ash eventually comes back in town and wants Robyn back. It’s a whole rollercoaster from there. Robyn starts to fall for Will and things get really complicated. The one thing I didn’t like about this book is that the really good parts don’t happen until the last part of the book. Then the book ends just when things are getting good. I really wish there would have been an extra chapter to tie up the Robyn and Will story.
Overall, I thought it was an okay book. It was a little too long and could have been much shorter in my opinion. I was also lost sometimes with the British terms but that is probably because I’m not British.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Cute book, easy to read.
It's my fifth already this year. I don't know what is going on right now with my reading. Hopefully that'll continue

Will and Robyn have known each other forever. Grown-up next to each other and been best friends for years - until Will's identical twin mucked it all up. Now they are just learning to be friends again - in time for said twin to return home. This was a gut-wrenching, rom-com with some twin brothers, friends to lovers and a love triangle - all with the backdrop of the real story: learning to live - really live.

Robyn Bloom feels a bit stuck in her life when a health scare - scares her right into starting a club all based on ticking things off the bucket list. She along with her ride or die besties and a set of twins that are really each their own headache try everything from sailing to burlesque dancing. Will and Ash are both heroes in the story in their own right. Will is the quintessential boy next door that is the stolid, calm town GP and the twin that has it all together. Ash is the fun one though. - and who doesn't love the fun one? (Honestly - I found him to be a prat for the most part but either he grew on me or grew as a character... I am still not convinced of which.)

Definitely more women's fiction or relationship fiction than steamy romance. It is a great read and a solidly good time!
