I loved loved loved the first three books. The thing that just continued to bug me is she never once has any reaction to her pregnancy. Not once does she even think about the fact that she's having a baby. I just couldn't get over it. Even a negative reaction would've sufficed, but to be pregnant and have no thoughts on it is beyond me.

I really needed something light and entertaining after [b:Pretty Girls|25574782|Pretty Girls|Karin Slaughter|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1432205734s/25574782.jpg|42937661], so it seemed like a good time to finish up the Aisling Grey series.

The series did not finish as strongly as I was hoping. It was still fun and humorous, but it fell a little flat. Some of the elements felt repetitive, particularly the constant mishaps arising from the lack of communication. Aisling and Drake don't spend much time together in this book, so that was disappointing. What bothered me the most though was that there were several times that the story skipped over events and then just gave the reader a quick synopsis of what happened. I flipped back a few times thinking that I had missed something or skipped a page. And those were usually events that I would rather have read directly than read a recap of. So a felt somewhat cheated on those parts.

But it was humorous and diverting and a nice light read, which was really all I was looking for in reading this book.

This series is getting a little romancey for my taste, but still a fun read. I love these characters.

"i'm ok," i said, giving her a quick hug before stepping out of the embrace. i felt like a cracked piece of glass - any touch would leave me shattered into a thousand little pieces all over the floor.

In this book Aisling faces more problems than she has ever faced before. But what does that matter when you're a Guardian-demon-lord-demon-prince-wyvern's-mate? And when you have a sexy, stud muffin dragon at your side? Needless to say: this book was lacking in no way whatsoever!

There is a lot going on in this book. Not so much that you cannot keep track of it all, but just enough to forget about some situations before they rear their ugly head (although this could certainly be the intention). I liked this book (especially the appearance of Aisling’s family!) but there was something lacking that the other books had. I wish this weren’t the last book of the series. There is so much left to know!

Loved this short series, sad to see it end, but am glad there are more dragon books to come still. There was more drama in this one as all the problems in Aisling's life got wrapped up and she sailed off into her H.E.A with Drake. I will miss all of them and look forward to them popping up in Gabriel's series which is up next. I can't wait...

I usually really like this series but this I found just OK. Aisling can be a ditz but they're fun in a Paranormal Stephanie Plum sort of way. But the first half of this book was kind of a mess. There were continuity errors about Aisling's parents/step-parents where her (I think) Dad kept changing from dad to step-dad. I don't really care either way but it kept taking me out of the story every time it switched and I had to try to figure it out. Also, like Stephanie Plum Aisling's inability to learn from her experiences starts to grow tired. So the first half was really a slog for me. Things did pick up in the second half. Aisling started to become, if not competent, then at least thoughtful before rushing off to do something rash. I know others find Jim annoying but I love that demon Newfie, maybe just because I love dogs. So the end definitely picked up and I already have the first Silver Dragon book so I'll read it to see if the silly entertainment value is recaptured.

I really wanted to love this book. I have enjoyed the others in in the series but this one let me down. The story opens with the wedding of Aisling and Drake. Of course nothing is easy for Aisling so Drake does not show. So begins the dizzy zany ride that is Aisling's life. There is fighting between the dragon septs, summoning of demons and madcap attempts for a normal wedding. Jim is still one of my all-time favorite characters. The demon in the Newfie body is probably the only thing that kept me reading. Aisling has so much power yet often seems too stupid to live. Drake was too secretive and almost aloof. Some good points but sadly disappointing. 2.5 stars
