I really liked the premise of this book. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the first book of the Looking Glass trilogy is actually a smaller series in the middle of the Arcane Society series, which means that I lost A LOT of the background information that I really needed to be 100% invested in this novel. That definitely colors my rating a little bit. However, I enjoyed the book enough that I am interested in going back to start at the beginning of the Arcane Society novels, which is exciting because it's a whole new paranormal romance series, and I can't wait to get wrapped up in their tale. In general, a good read. The characters were complex yet relatable, and they were just messed up enough that it felt kind of real. I'm excited to get to the background on these characters a little more, and I recommend that you get involved too!

This was an enjoyable read. The book is a combination paranormal romantic suspense so it has action and mystery plot twists in a paranormal urban setting with romance thrown in by the two main characters.

My favorite from the Arcane books. I love Fallon Jones and so glad that he not only were in the majority of the contemporary Arcane books but got his owner story and happily ever after as well.

Meh. The paranormal aspects of this book didn't do anything for me. First book I've read by this author as far as I recall; I'll be avoiding the rest of them.

In Too Deep was my first experience with the Arcane Society which seems to be a lengthy historical, paranormal, and futuristic romance series. I think it was a good introduction to the series and the world, and I liked both Fallon and Isabella. I think the overall mystery could have been a bit more focused as the book felt a little episodic with a bunch of little mysteries to solve. Still, I will probably check out more of the series.

This one was actually a 3.5 I read as a comfort read and it was certainly that. I was much more excited to read the book than I was actually reading it. Fallon and Isabelle where more intriguing in the previous books in the series. In this one they really had no conflict and no heat- kinda meh.
The villians where disapointing as well they stayed out of the way until needed stepped forward when it was their turn and were easily dispatched.

Small town with quirky characters- check
Mysteries that end up being related- check

But then I did not pick this book up expecting anything earth shattering and it delivered what I did want a solid romantic suspense with paranormal elements- it could easily have been better but it does get points for being exactly what I needed it to be.

I listened to half of this book while I was driving to and from my parents house this last week. Then I finished it by reading the second half. Both were very entertaining and I really enjoy this series.
