I was completely enchanted by this book, I felt like I was sitting in the corner of a Parisian cafe, watching the story unfold.
I’m obsessed with the idea/theme that a dress can change your life. The descriptions of the food had my mouth watering. I spent most of the book wishing I was one of George’s Tumbleweeds.
The added “mystery” aspect of looking for Victorine’s paintings and discovering who she was outside of the opinions of the men who painted her… an absolutely captivating concept. “It’s not right that history belongs to the men.”
And my favorite line…
“One lost soul looking for another.. Doesn’t that describe us all?”
Trigger warning, there is a childhood sexual assault that happens around chapter 2. It is of course disturbing but only briefly discussed.

This book taught me to enjoy being and living in the moment. Life doesn’t have to be planned out. Slow down and just enjoy life, make the best of it.
