It's so weird that this series is over. I guess I always feel weird / sad when they come to an end. There was a bit more I was expecting from this unfortunately. I felt it was so rushed and hurried. I'm happy about how it ended, but just not exactly how quickly it happened.

(Rating closer to a 2.5, rather than a 2)
This was easily the best book in the series - We get to see the real Warner and see Juliette begin to understand his motives.
It sucked to see her friendship with Adam disintegrate, and as much as I like Adam I do think the relationship wasn't a healthy one. He was the first person to be kind to her, he was attractive and he could touch her - it makes sense why she fell for him so quickly but that doesn't mean they are good for each other. It sucked when he verbally attacked her, I totally get his point of view but he was just so mean, it really showed a different side to him.
James and Kenji are two of my fav characters, I love them and would protect them at all costs.

Okay!! This book is my favorite of the series so far. Full spoilers.
Juliette became a MACHINEEE 👊🏼💥 Wow! I loved her a lot. Although to me her speeches about taking over seemed a little childish and that she was overlooking a lot of the political ans practical points. It seemed to me to not make sense she would make it. But. This writer I guess really wanted to bring the characters to the top of the world? Very fast and unrealistic from a political standpoint. However, I love Violent Juliette 😎 She was kicking ass and taking names 🤭 Being BULLETPROOFF bestie-- you are unstoppable. I can not adore her openness to violence enough. She cracked someone's neck! (Who was that by the way? Hoping to find out soon.) She shot Paris to the fucking forehead TWICE. And the fact that she had nothing to say. Didn't care to even hear sleazebag's last words 🗯️ Amazing, showstopping, incredible.
Adam was getting on my last fucking nerve. Honestly thought Juliette needed to step up a little more and just glock him 👊🏼 He was being delusional and so fucking stupid. Ugh. I can't even talk about it. He's dead to me.
Which leads me to Aaron Warner. His reaction to finding out about his brothers was really sweet. He's changed a lot. He's become more rational. I like his character. He is so unapologetically himself. He is the drama! I love him for it.
Which brings me to my true love. My husband, Kenji. I am so in love with him. He deserves everything good in the world. He basically carried the whole book on his back. He is so fucking funny I laugh out loud and read and reread his lines 🥰🤪 I want him. Period. He is the best thing that happened to this series.
Also, closed doors on the spice? I honestly thought differently and expected so much more 🙄
So this series has been a little hard to get into. The first books were just a bunch of whining and crying. But, look how far we've come! This is more so my speed! Violence and comedy.
I have no idea what to expect from the rest of the series...
