An interesting read, but some of the scientific claims aren't explained as well/as in detail as I would like them to be. Overall though, I learned a lot from this book! And the author's passion for nature is beautiful and wholesome, which can be felt through the pages.

The whole book could have been summed up in two sentences and you wouldn't have missed anything. It was a good message and informative but the book was unnecessary.

The pictures of forests throughout the book were really beautiful.
I liked the descriptions of Forest bathing and it was interesting to learn about the different variety of trees and flora native to japan.
The sections on aromatherapy, essential oils, earthing, and negative ion therapy felt pretty unsubstantiated which was disappointing since the book claimed to approach some of this scientifically but it’s list of citations in these areas was piss poor to nonexistent
This book has made me want to fill my own home with plants if for nothing else than the joy of seeing that greenery
