I loved the general plot and gothic atmosphere of this — it sucked me in right away. There were a few little things I didn’t love and I kind of wish the story had gone somewhere else right at the end, but overall I enjoyed my reading experience.

Fine. It's a fairly engaging and enjoyable experience to listen to this. I didn't find it to spectacular, just a pretty solid YA novel.

This book was phenomenal! Definitely was giving a queer style of A Secret History. I was guessing and second guessing everything the whole time.

Plot twists from early in the story, a poetic prose that flows in a way that remains easy to read, and a feeling of satisfaction upon conclusion. This is definitely one of the best books I've read.

4.25

i put no for the diverse characters because despite the main ship being lesbians and the short appearance of a non-binary character, most of them are white and the black character's role was pretty much narrowed to educating felicity about racism... i also knocked it down to 4.25 because the ending felt very rushed compared to the slow pace of the book. however, contrary to most, i loved the way her psychosis was portrayed because it felt very real, we had no idea what was going on or not
