It's a good book to help you get out of your head and get your life started.
inspiring

I listened to this book on audible and I highly recommend listening to it. It's not so inspirational that it gets annoying and in your face, it's a funny way to get your life together.

This was all right. I enjoyed his Scottish accent and his advice giving style reminded me of my dad. Of course with self help books there's the aspect of being blind to privilege, which definitely comes up here but I don't think it was as bad as You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero in that regard. But I enjoyed hearing about adjusting my mindset and I think it was advice I needed right now

DNF ~50%

It wasn't terrible but it just didn't really have anything of value to offer. Nothing I haven't read/heard a million times before, but said better and with more actually practical/helpful advice. Maybe if you've never read any kind of self-help/motivational book before?

Audiobook-in English!!

I liked this one a lot. I ended up getting the book from the library but listening to most of it, because who wouldn’t enjoy listening to a Scottish man telling you to get your shit together? I think I’ll buy a copy so I can mark it up. I appreciated his no-bullshit approach.

I'd recommend the audio book - hearing the Scottish author explain it's time to unf*ck your mind really drives the point home.

Bishop helps you re-wire your thoughts from self-sabotage to self-improvement, and emphasizes that your action is ultimately the key to the change you seek in your everyday life.

Some insightful takeaways, some advice you've likely heard before, but zero fluff in the delivery. This is a quick read if you're seeking tools to get out of a funk, and/or seeking a Scottish life coach.
