It’s cute! I like the idea of the father being flighty and loved by his community but not necessarily his daughters (on the surface). The way his daughters were bitter about the quest then learned to love and lean on the community his father felt so proud of feels like the gift that keeps giving. The idea of community feels so obsolete now and reading about an actual situation where everyone comes together !!in person!! is heartwarming.

I enjoyed this more than I expected to- seems to be a theme. Was a very cozy read and it felt happy despite some tense/sad moments. Made me want to celebrate the solstice

Loved this Solstice focused December jaunt. Well developed characters. Great holiday read for December readers of all holidays. I love a good holiday read and for Christmas books I am ok with a little Halmarky feel. This surpassed that and was just a good all around read for anyone wanting a seasonal starting point.

Excellent read! This book made me feel like I was curled up in a chair under a blanket lit only by Christmas lights and warmed by a crackling fire. It was cozy, magical, and a little mysterious. I wish I could visit Rowan Thorp and be friends with the North sisters myself!

2.75? Average. I found the first half of the book to be a bit slow. It did pick up some, but overall I didn’t love it.

Jenny Bayliss can do no wrong when it comes to heartwarming holiday stories! I have read each and every one and loved them all. I am a huge fan of stories about good sister relationships and Winter Solstice is one of my favorite days of the year, so A December to Remember hit me right in the feels and gave me all the warm fuzzies! Jenny nailed it once again, cementing her as my go-to auto-buy holiday author.

2.5 Overly detailed at times and very slow…but a very cute town and I enjoyed that the main characters were older and had some interesting back stories. I absolutely love the cover, but I don’t think I’d highly recommend this to readers I know IRL. Less Christmas-y than I was hoping for!

This was such a cozy read! The main plot of the three half sisters coming together and fulfilling their late father's wishes was so enjoyable. You see some great growth in these characters. The three sisters have their own separate romance subplots, which are unique to them. It took a bit of time to keep the sisters straight, even though they each had distinct life experiences shaping them. Maggie was the most frustrating to read about because (in my opinion) she should have been the most with-it and ready to fall in love. Her romantic subplot frustrated me because of her self-sabotaging. Star ended up being my favorite character and had my favorite subplot of romance. Although these characters were setting up for a Winter Solstice celebration, the book wasn't overly December-y and could definitely be enjoyed during other cozy months.
