Much better than the last Plum novel I read. I don’t know the number of the last one, but I do know I enjoyed this one more. Though it did take longer than expected to read. I had trouble staying motivated to read it.
Synopsis: Stephanie deals with cryptocurrency theft then kidnapping then human trafficking and is sorta dating Joe but still hasn’t made any decisions. Bella morelli has several fun cameos.

The perfect airplane book. Light, escapist, easy read. Wacky characters are two-dimensional clichés but entertaining.
I rate Stephanie Plum books on how many times I laugh out loud. It's pretty hard to get an audible response from me. I'm an only child. I did entire stage productions entirely in my head as a kid. I'm very internal. I definitely laughed out loud at least once during this one.
In this one, someone has kidnapped Connie and wants something nobody even remembers having. There are a lot of characters, some are related to the main plot, some are not. I really liked the new characters. They're idiots, but they are sweet. The real kicker is making Morelli's Grandma Bella a bigger part of the story. There is a lot of promise for development there. Stephanie lost 2 cars, of course. One of them was Ranger's. Lulu was the source of my laughing out loud, as usual.
The spice is entirely closed door, unlike some of the earlier books, if that's a thing you want to know.
I read the whole thing in a day. It was easy to fly through and I gulped it down. Now I just have to wait another year for the next one.

Much like Fearless Fourteen, 4⭐️ on the Steph scale, lower on books at large rating.
Morelli's Grandma Bella even got in on the action this time

Another fun book in the Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie. Lula. Cars being blown up. Donuts. Chicken. Grandma. Viewings. Joe. Ranger. you always know what you're going to get when you pick up one of these books crazy characters, a wild mystery, and lots of laughs. The mystery in this book was stronger than some others and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Stephanie is still picking between Joe and Ranger. My guess is she will never pick at this point although I am forever on Team Joe! Lorelei King does a brilliant job of bringing these stories to life with her audiobook narration.
