3.5 stars • Audiobook • I felt like this was a cute, palate cleanser and I felt like it had the same vibes as the rom-com “Crazy, Stupid, Love”.

I thought it was a cool concept that the story was told from 4 individuals who were all unknowingly connected, however I felt like the audiobook could have been a duet (or more) narration to give the full experience.

I liked the growth of each character as they battled their own hardships throughout the story.

Thank you NetGalley for providing this arc.

I really wanted to like this more. I liked the redemption trope and Britt’s mental health/social anxiety representation. The romance with Hunter was sweet and even though I saw the collision of all the secrets coming, I liked how that played out as well. However, the drama at the end was too over the top for me. There was so much miscommunication, false assumptions and just lengthy grudge-holding that drove me nuts for the last 25% of the book. I did like how the ending came together and that we really get 4 points of view but the undue drama made this one just okay for me.

A FMC with social anxiety and a MMC in recovery? Yep, this was a good one! I loved how this story all came together. The build up to that party was...UGH!!!! You knew it was coming but you just had to hold on and get there. I loved all the representations in this book. It's listed as a Christian book but I don't honestly see it, it's definitely a closed door romance with zero spice but I didn't get the Christian aspect of it. Just in case that's what would turn you off from this book, don't let it.

Thank you to NetGalley, HarperCollins Christian Publishing, and the author for the opportunity to listen to and review this story.

I really think there is an audience for this book but it isn't me. I love double POV's, but the quadruple POV was too much for me. I had some trouble connecting to the characters and I think it was mainly because all those POV's were too much to really get attached to one character. The story was cute but had zero spicy which for me gave a bit less dimension to the relationships between the characters.
I was also disappointed by the plot, in particular Amy's story.
I do give the book two stars because I love the take on social anxiety, abandonment and alcoholism. It's important to give that a platform.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book in advance.

I tried with this one, I really did. Like I thought this book was gonna be about Britt and Hunter and you keep getting other POVs. I lost interest.

So Into You by Kathleen Fuller is a sweet Christian romance with a lot of heart. I found the story to be cute and engaging, and I appreciated how the author tackled deeper issues like addiction and anxiety. It was refreshing to see these topics addressed with sensitivity and care.

However, one thing that stood out to me was how much the book focused on alcoholism. While I understand the importance of exploring the struggles that come with addiction, I felt that it was emphasized a little too heavily at times. It seemed like every other character was dealing with alcoholism, which made the theme feel a bit repetitive. While it added depth to the story, I found myself thinking, "Who else in this book is an alcoholic?" It may have been a bit too much for me personally.

That said, the romance itself was sweet, and the faith-based elements were uplifting. If you're a fan of Christian romance and enjoy stories that tackle real-life struggles alongside love, this might be a good read for you!

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC for my honest review

4.5⭐️s. I enjoyed this so much. The characters were so real. Whether you struggle with social anxiety, alcoholism, or even forgiving others and yourself; this story portrays all of these beautifully and respectfully. My only struggle was the transition from each POV. @its_melissamoran was amazing though as the narrator (5⭐️🎧). With so many characters to voices, I was able to pick up the tones that differentiated most everyone. So impressive and helpful.

Britt has crippling social anxiety and found contentment doing videos online teaching art. Her videos are very successful, but she still lives with her mom. She pays her own bills. Even rent, but longs for a day when her anxiety won’t rule her life. Not to mention the secrets she’s been keeping from mom.

Hunter is three years sober and has a decent job at a warehouse. Suffering from insomnia, he comes across Britt’s videos. He can’t stop watching and even finds peace hearing her voice. One day, Hunter decides to dm Britt. Little did he expect her to respond.

As they talk and eventually meet, they begin a beautiful friendship. Hunter helps Britt come out of her shell little by little. Britt is teaching Hunter art. But they both haven’t fully opened up to one another. This will become a problem when one day all their secrets come colliding together. Britt and Hunter are forced to face things that terrify them. Will Hunter be strong enough in his sobriety and feelings for Britt to hold on? Will Britt be able to control her anxiety and give Hunter a chance?

Overall, this was a very cute book! I found the fact that it was from 4 people's perspectives that are all connected was an interesting take. While I liked that aspect of the story it did not translate well to an audiobook with only one narrator that did not distinguish between characters well.

I enjoyed watching the character development of Brittany, Amy, Daniel, and Hunter. They all had their own struggles and their own journeys but still connected will to each other.

The story of redemption was well done and reflected on the ideal of forgiveness and acceptance.

I listened to the audiobook and wished this had been a duet narration rather than single. The narrator was fine just lacked range for multiple characters.

4.5☆ read

I enjoyed my first full-length romance novel by Kathleen Fuller (I read her latest Christmas novella last month), but must say I haven't read a 4-person POV in a while, if ever.

This contemporary romance had women's fiction "vibes" as the story not only weaved romance(s), but it dealt with the underlying pain and life obstacles of each main character.

The story was seen through the eyes of 28yo Britt, her divorced parents, Amy and Daniel, and her potential love interest, Hunter. I loved how the author knit their worlds together from different angles, pulling each thread to bring them all closer, even in the midst of pain and heartache.

There were some serious themes in this story (i.e. debilitating anxiety, abandonment, divorce, drug and alcohol abuse, broken families and estrangement), but they were handled with tact and grace. Although I didn't love all the main characters 100% of the time, I was invested in this story and where it would end up.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
