It seemed unfinished and jumped around soooo much. Probably won’t read again. Spice wasn’t great.

DID NOT FINISH: 49%

DNFed @ 49%

The characters just didn’t really have any personality. The MMCs that were in the part I managed to finish are nice guy who makes jokes, broody guy who does seem to actually do anything, impulsive and whiny emo vampire dude who doesn’t use his words.

The FMC is just meh.

Oh this was oh so good, I finished it in two day!!! I listened to this on audio and as always Kim always has such an amazing cast of voice actors. This was fantastically written with all that good stuff, romance, action, mystery, sarcasm, and a strong female. Yes and yes, I will take all of this any day!

All the Queen's Men
By: K. Loraine
Narrated by: Stella Hunter, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, Wesleigh Siobhan, Kylie Stewart
Series: Their Shadow Queen

I don't know what it is about K Loraine, but she can pull me into a paranormal, reverse harem romance and make me like it! These are not my typical tropes and I normally stay far away from them. But every time releases one out on audio, she grabs my attention and I am hooked! Their Shadow Queen series introduces us to Maeve. Growing up, things seemed normal. Then off to college and she meets her roommates Jensen and Finn who are really there to protect her. At 21, things all change and Maeve is forced into a world she knows nothing about. Destined to be the Shadow Queen, she has new powers and responsibilities as well as threats that could endanger their entire world. Her two protectors are there and the addition of Christian and Rhys come in adding the last of what is needed to complete Maeve. But will the four be able to keep her safe? Can they all be trusted? And are they be willing to share their lives to be with her? Fae, vampires, witches along with a suspenseful plot and steamy passion led to hours of listening entertainment. The story captured my attention, having the perfect mix of angst and excitement. The flow is easy and characters fantastic. Plus we have a bonus story for Valor that is fantastic!! I This is a book that you do not want to miss!

To top off this amazing story, Loraine casts a team of narrators in duet style narration that is stellar! Stella Hunter, Shane East, Jason Clarke, Teddy Hamilton, Jacob Morgan, Wesleigh Siobhan, Kylie Stewart each add their voice and bring it all to life. It's engaging, the accents amazing, and each narrator perfectly fit to the character, as if she wrote the story with their voice in mind. It's a fantastic listen!

So I’m a proud member of the #whychoose club but boy combining RH and pnr was something I was just not prepared for. And let me tell you I feel like I have truly been missing out! It was like the cherry on top of a delicious sundae, an extra scoop of ice cream with sprinkles. All the Queen’s Men had me not only wishing for a RH of my own but hoping for one that was otherworldly pretty please!
I eagerly and greedily devoured this book. I mean from the first chapter, it carried a serious air of suspense that kept me hooked on every word!
My girl Maeve left me green with envy for numerous reasons. She controlled all four elements and could bring things to life with just a thought.
Just a bad ass. She left me sitting here thinking how all my life I’ve been a basic human when I could be living as a faerie Queen??
And then there was Jensen, Finn, Rhys and Christian. Oh these four men were mouthwatering. Individually, they each brought something unique to the table. But, together they were a force and made for a delectable harem. I loved the adoration they had for their queen and the lengths they would go for her. For my first venture into pnr RH, K. Loraine knocked this bad boy out the park and left me craving more.

This book is a bit fast paced and jumped all over the place, especially for the length. We didn’t get to experience a lot of what was said in the book. We didn’t see how Finn became her best friend. It was instalove and chemistry wasn’t really built on page. Progression happened in days and not naturally. I like that the harem had to get it together and work it out. They didn’t just mesh right off the bat. Who she chose as her first was odd but that’s probably why the author chose him. Maeve didn’t believe she wouldn’t hurt Finn but wanted Christian to believe he wouldn’t hurt her. The White Lady literally told her to be careful who she shares her power with and what does she do?! Just dumb. Rhys hadn’t been home in three years but hadn’t seen his parents in a decade? Why wouldn’t Finn want to know who Jensen was torturing if he hates torture? How did Saskia just happen upon Jensen?

I will never be a fan of adult MCs knowing the FMC while they are a minor. I don’t care how brief, fantasy or not. The blurb references MFMMM when it’s really MMFMM.
