I really wanted to like this book. I really did. If it had been 100 pages shorter, this would have been a 5 star book. But at a certain point I just wanted Gyre and Em to just stop. If that meant one or the other needed to die to do it, I was ok with that. It is never good when a reader is hoping for the death of the protagonist. I liked the claustrophobic and mystery elements, but even those factors could not stop this book from being a time suck for me.
