It’s really a 2.5 star book because it’s not good. At all. But for the craving I had for a cheesy, dumb, plotless, easy to read romance, it was excellent. So I boosted it to 3.25. No higher though because some plot points really frustrated me.

My Life With The Walter Boys, now a hit Netflix adaptation, follows Jackie Howard, who, after losing her family, moves from New York to Colorado to live with her mum’s best friend, her husband, and the twelve kids in their house. At the Walter house, Jackie befriends some of the boys, falls for one of them, and tries to deal with her grief whilst managing her academic and extracurricular activities, all of which become overwhelming and difficult to deal with at times. My favourite character was Cole - I love him in the show anyway, but I love him so much more in the book. My least favourite character was Mary - I’m glad they made Paige slightly better than this in the show. I recommend this book because it’s a really beautiful love story between Jackie and Cole, which I prefer to the love triangle trope. But there are a lot of plot points and character arcs that were improved in the series. “Loving you just crept up on me, and before I knew it, I was head over heels for you.”

Okay so this book got four stars bc i fucking loved it. I loved the characters and the plot and the ongoing chaos. until the end....WTF KIND OF ENDING WAS THAT YOU DUMB BITCH sorry but i’m mad. not even an epilogue. are you kidding me. that book was unfinished and you know it. don’t get lazy now, FINISH YOUR FREAKING JOB. i really can’t believe it just ended like that. That whole book was a love triangle THAT DIDN’T EVEN PERSUE THE WINNING RELATIONSHIP. That whole book was the relation of the guy we knew was wrong for her!!! like come on now. You had the potential to be a favorite if you just continued the story!!! I would have loved it!!!! But nooooo....you go to the fucking acknowledgments at the fucking climax of the story.
Anyway, if i look past my anger i will say I thoroughly enjoyed every second reading it. well, right until i read acknowledgments... that was the downfall. MATER OF FACT. THREE STARS BITCH.

all of the characters had amazing characters arcs and i was never bored reading a certain passage. the book is also really well written it feels like a 16 year old girl is writing the novel and telling you the story.
