WOW! what an amazing read! I don't know what Rawnie puts in these books but it's addictive in the best way possible. Angela and Vex's story pulled me in immediately and I love them so much. The developing feelings, the banter, the spice🥵, the care & consideration for one another🥰 I was very happy to watch it dawn on Vex that she can't mock Natalya and Drago anymore. The entire world of the Chains feels like coming home and I can't wait to see all these characters again!
Rawnie is 6 for 6 in my book. I'm SO excited for the paperback to join the rest of the series on my shelves!

(arc review) well that was a fun one. I was looking for a good book with a "touch her and die" trope, where the FMC is the stabby one. This book very much has a very stabby FMC and it made me happy :)
There's a decent amount of spice in it, which is also a win.
Besides the actual story, what I enjoy most is the surrounding. You get an overview about the world that this sets in and the relevant history from the previous books, so it is truly standalone, but you're not lost at any point or feel like you have to read the earlier books to get inside jokes. The book also comes with a curated playlist, which i absolutely love. And it does help that it's part of a larger world and that there are other books in the world, so if you want more of that you can just continue reading:)

RAWNIE SABOR DOES IT AGAIN! ❤️
OBSESSED with the obsessed envy fiend and the full of attitude witch!
The tension, the witty banter, the sexy attitudes, and “Who did this to you?”!!! Come on!
It’s hard not to love and be intrigued by all of Rawnie’s characters! How can you choose?! They all written so perfectly we can truly see them.
Rawnie Sabor you are truly so talented and I thank you for the opportunity for this Arc.

Rawnie does it again--this time resident witch Angela must confront her own wants and desires for Envy fiend Vex who is fighting her own internal battle about her place in the Court.
Vex & Angela have their hands full with coven attacks so their relationship takes a little to warm up the pages. When it does get spicy there's a nice consensual exploration of Angela's particular degradation kink. Vex' growth has been considerable given her presence in previous stories and it was great seeing her develop here.
Thank you Rawnie for the early copy in exchange for an honest review.

Vex never does ‘nice’. It was never written in her nature. Also, everyone is not worth her interest, because it all boils down to the same thing in the end: want and lies, and as an Envy fiend, she can sense everything. Except this one blonde witch who is a part of the Court of Chains, whose mind Vex cannot read at all. The fact that she also dabbles in the area that once unwillingly bound Vex does not help either. Pity that the Court has rules against her breaking the little witch. But that does not mean that she cannot play with her. Can’t be her fault if the witch ‘chooses’ to break, right?
The book is a long book, but the author carries on the plot and emotions while never lagging keeping readers curious about what will happen next. I was in that team, and I devoured the book in a few hours. And I have to say that it was perfect.
Rawnie Sabor is the master of balancing plot and smut. While doing that, she also depicts the emotional side of the characters beautifully, so that we can also ‘see’ them as they are, not only just their actions. The characters this author writes are flawed and complex. They all have their story, and in the end, they find something that will heal them, which makes the series more than just a hot book. What makes the Court of Chains series so unique is that at the end of the book, the MCs find another version of themselves. Not better, since we are not to judge, but a happier one. The entire series is a journey to healing and happiness while people having your back.
In Kiss of Seduction, the first book of Court of Chains, Vex was my favorite character because she could be compared with Natalya. I remember asking Rawnie to give Vex her happy ending, and I am glad that she got her own story and ending in Green Eyed Monster, god knows she deserves it.

Like the rest of the Court of Chains series this book was so enjoyable to read. The central characters of Angela and Vex are very well written, and play off each other in a way that makes their relationship so interesting and fun - the banter between the two of them is incredible - and also makes the 🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes really fun to read, even when the dynamic wasn't really my thing. The plot overall was well-paced and the antagonists had interesting character and motivation which added up to make this a really engaging and highly recommended read!

Let’s be clear: I am Rawnie Sabor’s biggest fan. I love everything she’s written and I highly recommend every single book (check the CWs).
The tension. The chemistry. The banter. This book is everything!
I’ve adored Vex and Angela since I met them in Kiss of Seduction and Gifts of Gold and I couldn’t wait to see how this story would play out. I’ll admit, after reading Wrath and Patience, I had no idea how Rawnie was going to be able to pull off a romance between an angry demon who abhors witches and the most powerful witch in existence. All I knew was Rawnie could find a way to do it and, damn, did she ever!
This story was so brilliantly executed. The world building is fantastic. The writing is immersive. There’s so many familiar faces I love spending extra time with (especially Natalya). And I truly loved the character development and growth Angela and Vex both had.
And can we talk about the spice? 🥵 Got damn. It’s so hot! Hate sex? Degradation? Exhibitionism? Wow. You’ll want to read this for the spice alone.
Come for the spice but stay for the plot. Every court of chains book has a thrilling plot with life or death stakes that is always there but not overshadowing of the romance.
While this book can be read as a standalone, I truly recommend reading the earlier books (because I love them all so much). You don’t have to, but I don’t think you’ll regret it if you did! 💚
