In my review of The Last Graduate I stated that my husband bought me The Deadly Education when it came out for Christmas so I felt like I needed to finish the series. However, after the cliffhanger ending of The Last Graduate I HAD to order The Golden Enclaves to see how it all ended.

It did not play out as she had planned and she spent quite a large amount of time being sad about losing Orion in the graduation hall. After that things picked up and she went to different Enclaves to help fix them because it was as though their wards were being hit (being such a strong witch). You find out in the end why that was happening and I don't want to spoil too much. So you should go read it!!!

Afterthought: There still is quite a bit of main character info dumping in this book as well, so I did skim quickly through parts where she was over explaining something that didn't really need it!

Was pissed off Orion did that to El and literally skimmed 200 pages until I got to were he comes back. But i did really like how all the enclaves needed her to save them. very revenge plot. Once orion was back the rest of the book kinda moved slow. It was interesting to see the plot twist and her fulfilling her prophecy in a way you don’t expect. The end scene reminded me of Moana saving Te Fiti and that was fun. I think overall, the second book was my favorite, then the first, then the last. The series was an interesting read and I loved the morally grey protagonist. The plot was very well thought out. Wasn’t my favorite fantasy read but a good one.

I cried a bit. But not enough to make me care about the characters.

A perfect ending to what I’d consider a pretty near perfect trilogy. Everything connected in the end. AND the magic system made sense.
Will definitely be revisiting these books.

It is physically painful, how BRILLIANT Naomi Novik is. By the time the reveals start coming and you realize just how deftly she has woven events together...GOD. It's just...I don't even have words, okay? I really don't.

This book, in case you missed the point, is FUCKING BRILLIANT, and such a fantastic ending to the trilogy I want to scream. El was exatly what you wanted her to be, beginning to end, and even when I was gnawing my knuckles down to bone wondering HOW THE HELL CERTAIN THINGS WERE GOING TO BE FIXED, I knew, I KNEW she'd manage it. Because she is Galadriel Higgins.

I have. SO MANY FEELINGS.

I loved this book. I loved how Novik wove everything together. I loved the way love interests played out. Some people hated that but I loved it. I thought it was brilliant and it was fun to be out of the Scholomance. I was so addicted to it I had to to borrow the digital book as well as the audiobook (how I usually read everything) so I could still read it with my eyes when it would have been awkward to have headphones in.

Rare for a third book of a trilogy to be the worse but this one easily was. I enjoyed the first two, and because it is easy reading sped through this one but it never really clicked.
