I was hoping for a spinoff after I finished the last book in the Sin Brothers series as there were some loose threads remaining to be pulled. This was a good start and I was happy to see some character crossover.

The story begins with Zara Remington and Ryker Jones already in a "casual" relationship. She's a paralegal and he's a private investigator who does work for her firm and travels almost constantly. Things start to shift when she gets embroiled in her friend's divorce and Ryker goes all Alpha male when she gets hurt.

Ryker also has two brothers who work with him and the three bonded when they first met at a boys home in their youth (sound familiar?). They're hiding a big secret about their past that they have to confront when an unusual client asks for help in finding someone. And, all three are trying to find a serial killer who targets red headed women.

There's a lot going on in this story and I'm a fan of multiple plot lines. However, the serial killer aspect took a backseat to Zara's issues and the brothers' search on behalf of their client. It's a strong start to the series and it has a continuing story arc so not all things are wrapped by the end of the book. I think you'll enhance your reading experience by reading the other series first, though as there are important elements that serve as a foundation. However, if you don't, you won't be lost. And, I listened to the last book in the first series and regretted that I hadn't switched earlier. Karen White continues as narrator here, bringing a familiarity that I found essential. Bring on the next book! 3.5 stars

(I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review)

First book read in 2017
Like most of Rebecca Zanetti's books that I've read this was action packed, and we got to see a bit more of the Sin Brothers (this book being a spin off). I like the suspense, the supportive characters, the action.. but I wasn't a fan of the romance. And the main villain felt to me a bit over the top at times. I still enjoyed it and will continue with the series

Interesting new beginning as well as a continuation of the Sin Brothers, didn't have any slow points or parts I skimmed. One of her best so far. Three more hunky brothers finding their loves. This was action packed with multiple plotlines. Ryker and Zara lead busy lives jumping from bad situation to bad situation. Again we have another woman who has three different men either hitting on her or having been interested in her in the past. That being said the steamy sex scenes between her and Ryker were off the charts even compared to the previous series hotness. We meet Greg who had been thought dead in the Sin Brothers series and he's searching for his brothers. This leads to Dr. Madison and the Dean brothers finding their way to Cisco too. Like I said a very busy book but with lots of action and page turning love scenes.

This is an action romance and is pretty entertaining for a light and fast read. This is my first Rebecca Zanetti novel and its pretty clear it’s part of a larger story/world.

It very much reminds me of the deadly games series by Christine Feehan with all the medically engineered genetics, which was pretty obvious from the start of the novel. Most of it was pretty predictable and cheesy.

Not sure its a series I will continue, but might read when the urge for something more fluffy hits me.

This one was okay, but I enjoyed Sin Brothers better.

4.5/5⭐

Not too long ago I read the third book in the Blood Brothers series and really enjoyed it! I'm glad I decided to go back and read the first book in the series because I enjoyed it just as much. The book is full of great characters, steamy love scenes, action, and mystery. I can't wait to dive into the next book immediately 😍
