Erin Poletti's mom has just died and she is left with nowhere to go. She finds her brother, Chase, working at Rydell River Ranch and hopes he can help her out. Unfortunately Chase is not very welcoming and neither are most of the Rydell brothers, especially the oldest brother Jack.

Erin soon begins a relationship with Joey Rydell, the youngest Rydell brother, who is closest to her brother Chase. When something happens that tests the trust the Erin has with the Rydell brothers, Erin must earn their trust back. When secrets are revealed about Erin, Jack sees another side of Erin and realizes she has had a much tougher life than he could have imagined.

Will Erin be able to break down Jack's walls and make him believe that love can be possible a second time?

This was a great book with quite a few twists and turns that kept me wondering what was going to happen next!

Erin was a great character who had some pretty big weaknesses but she was also so caring and really needing a helping hand to get back on her feet again. I really felt bad for what happened between her and Joey and it was probably due in part to Chase and how he treated and viewed Erin. I understood completely why Erin packed up and left her home when her mom died.

I thought it was so awesome and funny where Erin begins working and Jack's reaction to it. It really made me laugh!

It was obvious that Jack had some major pain in his life that led him to be so hard and as we begin to read more we discover why he is the way he is and he has not had it easy either. He has had to raise his brothers and then his own sons and life was not always kind for him but he had the ranch.

The relationship between Jack and Erin was a very complicated one with the lack of trust at the beginning and then the gradual earning of trust that developed between the two. The two had lots of chemistry but you were never sure if it was more of a hate on Jack's end.

I was completely shocked at how much of a jerk Chase was. I can't believe the stuff he did to both the Rydell's and to Erin. I seriously hope karma catches up with him at some point in this series!

This is such a great beginning and I really hope we get more of Erin and Jack as there is so uch more to discover!

There’s A LOT going on here, and a lot to unpack. Maybe too much? I enjoyed it nonetheless, but would’ve like more apology and more growth from the heroine.

River’s End caught my by surprise. I didn’t know how much I would love getting to know the Rydell family, and Erin. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series and hearing more about Jack & Erin’s story

3 and a half stars. This book was a super fun read (in fact I finished it in like two sittings) even if it isn't exactly groundbreaking. It would be a 4 star book if the writing wasn't quite so repetitive—it feels like the two different narratives were supposed to be two different books and instead they got smushed together. A lot of plot details are just repeated in two different sections that are two pages apart, and it made me feel like you could just shave 50 pages off. But otherwise! This was quite a fun read.

River's End begins when Erin's mother dies and Erin has no where to go, so she finds the last place she heard her brother was. Not that Erin and her brother are close, or even like each other, but she has no where else to go. She never expected to find a ranch with several brothers living on it, especially not Jack, who she knows she should stay away from, but he can't seem to leave her along.

These two have a strange relationship, and it gets worse when Erin has no idea what's going on around her, or what to do next. But, along the way she must figure it out if she's going to survive from then on.

This book started out interesting, and slightly intense. But, then the same conversations kept happening over and over again, and it was very annoying.

Also, I really didn't like Erin, or Jack, and I had a hard time connecting to either of the characters.

Other than the strange drama that happened this book was pretty much rinse and repeat over and over again. I felt like if there had been more depth to the story it would have been better, but alas it wasn't.

This one was just not for me, and over all I really didn't like it.

I’m not even sure what to say about this book. While the author was good at descriptions and setting the tone, even the “voice” was good, the rest of it was just not good. Erin was a doormat and every single brother was a jerk. And there was no HEA or even a HFN. It just ended. Very unsatisfying.
