7/10 Natasha Madison can do no wrong (with one very small exception - Made For Us, what a wretched human) and this is just another example. A nice straightforward romance with no misunderstanding or miscommunication.
This book was sort of "meh" for me - but maybe also because I got sucked into the BookTok/IG reviews and got too excited.
So the first half of the book is pretty good & moves at a fast clip. Her fiance does horrible things, she takes a break and wanders into the country. Decides to party it up, meets Gabriel the bartender, very sexy things happen & then she sneaks out. As luck would have it, Gabriel ends up being part of her family (don't worry, only through marriage. It's not one of THOSE kinds of books) - and try as they might, clothes keep falling off when they're in each other's proximity. So far, so good.
Second half of the book is where my beef starts. Everything moves fast, a lot of details are just fluffed over and I was struggling to remember who is who because it feels like an entire army of people are emerging from the woodworks. You know when the author seeds a bunch of characters that will sprout for a dynasty of novels - well, we might be covered for a few centuries with the number of people hanging around. Except I kept losing track and had to back track to remember who was whom & what their role was in the story. For me, it lost some steam in the backend and so I liked it but didn't love it....

The sexual chemistry between Gabriel and Zara is felt right away. I wish there would’ve been more drama between Zara and her cheating ex but I understand that he wasn’t the main character. I read this as a stand-alone so there were a couple things that were assumed the reader would know based off previous books, so even if I was confused a bit it didn’t take away from enjoying the book. This did end on a cliffhanger though to prep for the next book in the series. Overall the relationship between Gabriel and Zara ended solidly and they got their happy ever after. Read the bonus chapter for a cute snippet from their wedding.

A firework of emotion that breathes new life into the heart of romance. From the flames of attraction to the heartbreak of love, Madison pushes the boundaries of temptation. Gabriel and Zara blend the heat of temptation and sweetness of romance with a deliciousness too addictive to walk away from.

The first half of the book was only sex sex and sex. The plot at the beginning of the story was just poof gone. I dnfed the book for a while and just came back to finish it. I was glad that after the 50%, the story was getting better, slightly.
The blurb gave so much potential, but the story didn't deliver. There were so many characters from previous books from this author, and I was confused as hell. I ended up paying no attention to other characters. Just read their names, didn't care who was who.

Meant for Gabriel by Natasha Madison, book four in her Meant For series, is an amazing, wonderful, small town, accidental pregnancy, single dad, opposites attract (city girl and cowboy hero) romance. On the day Zara finds the perfect wedding dress, she discovers her fiancé is cheating on her, and has been for years. She not only cancels the wedding but also embarks on a short vacation to clear her mind and recover from her ex-fiancé's deception. However, she is unprepared for the encounter with Gabriel, the charming single father who turns her world upside down.
When she meets the bartender, Gabriel, out on her first night, there’s an instant chemistry between them. Gabriel is happy living the slower life, working his family bar, spending time on the ranch and raising his son. With undeniable, sizzling chemistry what Zara assumed would be a fleeting one-night stand. Instead the two spend every moment they can while Zara is there and when she returns to the city, two pink lines change everything. Gabriel was determined to win her heart, and he pulled out all the stops to prove her that she was meant for him. Her efforts to deny her attraction to Gabriel were rather endearing. Yet, when the charming single father went all out, she couldn't help but fall for him completely. Their encounters were a blend of passion, tenderness, and sincerity.
Ms. Madison wrote a wonderful, heartwarming and enjoyable love story that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with love, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, kindness, concern, and family. It was wonderful to see many of the characters from the previous stories in the series make appearances.
