This has to be one of my favourite Lindsey books. I have read it several times and I really enjoy the character of Danny. She is assertive, intelligent, and for a woman of her time, master of her own destiny. Jeremy has his moments of being a jerk, but otherwise this book is a great read for its genre.

If you enjoy the adventures of the Malory family, this is a good one. Jeremy and Danny are both fun characters.

i like the malory family books

I HATE that the protagonist was drunk during her first sexual appearance and the male lead took advantage of that. Everything else about this book I love.

I really enjoyed this book and read it during an all day car ride. After reading Amy's story, I was looking forward to Jeremy's, unfortunately I've been reading the Malory series out of order and will now have to back trek.

It’s been quite some time since I’ve read the previous books in this series.

Things I liked:
  1. Danny has a mysterious past
  2. Jeremy isn’t a lord
  3. The banter amongst the Malory family members

Things I didn’t like:
  1. A bit too much convenience for me on the killer recognizing someone in the city streets who used to be 5 years old and is now an adult
  2. Awful convenient that the cousin is also the thief
  3. Danny should have visited Lucy more often. She seemed to forget her friends very quickly until she needed them again
