JLA is one of my favorite authors of all time. I love her stories and characters and I can honestly say that I've fallen madly in love with each one of her leading men.
That said, I had very high expectations with this book given how amazing all her previous works have been. Unfortunately, I found this book to be a bit of a disappointment. Kyler was your typical smokin' hot man whore and he was quite likable but he didn't have me throwing my panties out the window. He was definitely no Cameron Hamilton.
Sydney, oh Sydney. I flip flopped from sympathizing with her and wanting to slap her. From the misunderstandings to the constant whining and pining for Kyler, she bordered on pathetic.
While this was still a pretty enjoyable read it really doesn't hold a candle to any of JLA's other works.

This book was so adorable and the tension! The ups and downs and history between Sydney and Kyler was such a rollercoaster of emotions—throw in a storm and a mysterious threat and you have a recipe for love and for disaster. The end was so sweet and finally finding out what Kylers tattoo meant was sheer perfection!
I enjoyed this book and believe it is a 4-star book except it was way to similar to books in this genre. I checked my book shelf twice to make sure I hadn't read it because everything was uber familiar. I am still baffled. So the plot was a 4-star, but I had to dock it a star for lack of originality and the extreme predictability.
Sydney "Syd" Bell has had a crush on her best friend, man-whore Kyler Quinn since they were in elementary school. She is his confidant, helper etc while Kyler changes plans on her in a dime so he can make out with any skirt that gives him the eye.
They are in college and it is getting increasingly hard for Syd to sit on the sidelines, when they get snowed in at a cabin. Sydney makes her move and they have sex. But a series of miscommunications delay the ride off to the sunset.
The writing was good, but this book was way too transparent. I also didn't buy Kyler's explanations and stuff. If he had loved her from the same time, why has he taken her for granted so much? Why has he shared all his conquests with her? I think he was attracted to her, but I don't know if he felt for her like she felt for him until they had sex and she blew him away (*pun intended). I would recommend this book for those who love Friends to lovers romances.

3.5 stars
I love both Sydney and Kyler, but I don't know, I feel like there's something lacking in this story. It doesn't immediately captivate me like Wait For You (Cam, his abs and eggs are really hard to beat, you know). There are definitely some sexy moments, but other than that I think this is just an okay read for me.

Not terrible, but very simplistic, predictable, and one-dimensional without enough depth or complexity to be truly memorable. Also the main love interest's entire character revolves around him being a "player", and thus he felt rather one-dimensional and unlikable as a result.
3.5 .. nice story but I'm just fed up with the girls being innocent and inexperienced and the boys being fooling around with everyone then saying "I've always been in love with you!" - cue eye roll- but it was a page flipping story and I read it in 2 setting 'cause I needed to sleep haha.
JLA is queen. Seriously, this book is sooo good, and it definitely helped pull me out of a reading slump. When in doubt, read a JLA book (my new philosophy).
I don’t even know what to say haha I was thinking maybe it’s a 3 or 4 stars when I was reading it but then it just got worse after the half way point and I skimmed the last pages. The begging was fine I was enjoying it and it made me laugh. It was a sweet romance cheesy book. But then idk I just stopped liking it and it felt like stupid. It’s a fine book it just felt weird and silly. I don’t like it was an okay book but after a while it wasn’t my cup of tea ):
