This is a series of short stories. Most are forgettable. The overall theme of each story is that the main character is a presumptuous white British man who dares to adventure where he shouldn't be and has to deal with the consequences. I read this because I love Stoker's Dracula and wanted to read the short story, Dracula's Guest. It was OK and I'm glad I read it; though I will never pick this one up again. If you want to explore Bram Stoker's writing, just read Dracula.

A perfectly adequate gothic short story collection. A few stand out, but some are fairly pedestrian.

This gave me Phantom of the Opera vibes. A story of love and betrayal, and some of the tension between the cast members of theatre production.

Not as scary as Stokers Dracula, but some scary, some reflective, some even humorous.  The last one is a novella of the White Worm.  Sometimes scary, sometimes, humorous, predictable, and you know how the end will happen well before the characters even know.  But, it is worth the read on a dark night.

Interesting collection of stories. Some good, others not as much. Great atmosphere. But man did Stoker think Englishmen were the crème de la crème! It made me laugh how “better than” the British protagonists were a few times. Fun for Halloween!
