To be honest, I am kind of surprised with the lower ratings of this book. A thriller set on the new Orient Express, an author bases her books on a real life character and their life, with a twist of murder at the end. There are two different story lines, and they don't end up being very connected, which I why I went with a 4 star review. But I thought this was a pretty solid thriller.

The audiobook is a fantastic way to read this book! I found the story to be so intriguing. Just when I thought I had something figured out, I'd read something that would prove me wrong. It kept me entertained for sure! I loved the setting (Italy and the Orient Express) and getting the different viewpoints from the characters too.

Amalfi coast, literal Orient Express, a writer with a secret who bases her books on the stories of real people who agree to be her main character, some solid twists, pretty fully realized characters — I enjoyed this mystery thoroughly and it would be the perfect summer read for anyone who enjoys a classic-style mystery with an atmospheric setting (c’est moi!)
