it was a good book just personally wasnt for me

Wow wow wow Jescie does it again! dark, enthralling & passionate I loved this from start to finish, I don’t know if I’ll be able to see big bird and snuffy the same again

I’ve said it before, and I will say it again - I am a complete sucker for a man obsessed, and Kid was a man OBSESSED. Better yet, a man ADDICTED.

This book deals with so many heavy topics, and it was all so beautifully tragic.

Although he has some demons, Kid has such a golden retriever personality. I love his playfulness with Cole, the way he respects Hawke, and especially the way he loves and cares for Han.

The tragedy Han experienced was heartbreaking. I don’t blame the woman for coping the way she did.

The only thing I did not like about this book is that it is filled with fluff. And by fluff I mean long bouts of pretty words. Kid is constantly going into inner monologues. I felt a lot of it was repetitive, so I started skipping them towards the end.

Listened on audio, which I think made it worse for me. Some of the noises and groans he makes just gave me the ick 😭 which I was surprised because I usually enjoy the narrator. I liked the connection to the previous book, as she is the sister of the last mcf.

This book had me on a hell of a rollercoaster!! Jescie is literally one of my favorite writers. This book hit home in some ways so maybe it was a bit harder for me, but the truth behind it all, the battles people fight and hide this is real life shit! Thank you [a:Jescie Hall|22176773|Jescie Hall|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1666787640p2/22176773.jpg] for writing such an amazing heart wrenching story! Also thank you to Joe Arden and Cj Bloom for bringing the story to life!
