While I went into this thinking that it was going to be all about the smut, I actually came out of it wishing that everyone could just be cared for the way that these men care for Briar. I mean, yes, they shower her in gifts, but they're all thoughtful gifts. And that's what makes them truly special.
And, well, the smut wasn't bad either 😉

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
HEA: yes with bonus epilogues by signing up for her newsletter!
POV: multi 1st person POV (Briar, Rhys, Gavin, Hollis)
spice: several open-door spicy scenes
TWs: cheating, catnapping (LOL), left at the altar, divorce, parental abandonment, death of a sibling, chronic illness (cystic fibrosis), death of a parent
standalone: book 4 in the My Hockey Romance series (interconnected standalones)
final thoughts: one of the best things about a why choose romance is the FMC having different personality types in her MMCs. This book brings that front-and-center by having Briar use qualities and personality traits from all 3 leading men to write a column about what makes the perfect boyfriend. I laughed, I cried, I swooned- I loved every minute of this book and really loved each of the MCs.
Brair was a great FMC- confident, friendly, driven, and a great friend
Rhys is the lovable cheeky British boyfriend who has been unluckily in love and isn’t looking for romance, until he realizes he might have a shot with his friend and yoga teacher, Briar.
Gavin is the broody boyfriend who isn’t sure where he fits in but is willing to learn as he goes and give some direction along the way.
Hollis is the prefect golden retriever boyfriend who helps Briar lower her defenses and keeps her head leveled when she’s feeling overwhelmed.
Combined, these guys show Briar what she deserves in a boyfriend all while woo-ing her and showing her that their happily ever after can last beyond the week.

Well and Truly Pucked is the last book in Lauren Blakely’s interconnected standalone My Hockey Romance series. Each book has been fun, flirty, fast-paced, and full of spice, especially when each book is Why Choose. Well and Truly Pucked not only has those qualities but also has three hockey players instead of two this time, and they are willing to assist the FMC, Blair, not only in retrieving her cat from her ex-boyfriend but also in providing her with romance lessons on being a perfect boyfriend.
I knew from the first chapter this was going to be another great read in this series from Lauren Blakely. The MMCs, Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin, already won over this reader when they helped Blair rescue her cat from her ex-boyfriend, who tried to keep the cat for his new girlfriend. What a douche! Blair decides the best way to overcome a breakup is to escape to a cabin for a week while she looks for a new place to live. The cabin she’s staying at, though, is about to have three additional people due to a booking going wrong. Those three people are the same hockey players who helped her rescue her cat. Now, Blair is forced to share a cabin with Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin and she’s about to overcome her breakup quickly when the three guys show her how she should’ve been treated and also assist her with other things.
I definitely enjoyed this Why Choose storyline of Well Truly and Pucked and how Blair ends up with the sweetest rival hockey players who are willing to do anything for Blair. The hockey players were great friends who were all about sharing and having a good time with Blair. I can’t pick which one was a favorite because they each were memorable in different ways, and their character development was well-done. The guys also were about communication with Blair and providing for her, especially when it came to romance lessons. One of my favorite scenes between the four characters involves the board games they played, especially Candy Land. Yeah, I’ll never look at that game the same way, thanks to this book.
I do wish the revenge plot had been a bit more. Blair’s ex-boyfriend deserved a little bit more thrown at him after what he did to her. Blair won in the end because she ended up having three sexy hockey players who treated her and her adorable dog and cat way better.
If you enjoy Why Choose Friends to Lovers Hockey Romance stories, then check out this book (the whole series, actually). It’s light on the hockey for this one but heavier on the spicy moments between the characters.

If you love spicy hockey romances like me then this fun and fast paced spicy (and I mean SPICY) why choose romance is for you!😍😉
There is rival teams, one of them is British and all three of them are OBSESSED with her just like I’m obsessed with them! When I was laughing from the very first chapter, I knew it was gonna be a good one and it did not disappoint.
One of my favourite moments has to be when one of them says ‘Fuck it’ and just goes for it. I SWOONED 🥵😍
Whoever said “good things come in threes” was onto something and after reading this book I cannot help but agree. Rhys, Gavin and Hollis can save me any day! You best believe I will be back to read the previous books in the series!

The neighborhood Why Choose girlie is at it again with another great Why Choose hockey romance! Thank you, Lauren and Good Girls PR for sending me an ARC!
I loved the characters in this book so much. The way this book starts and the meet cute these four have is the best! I was laughing out loud and having a great time. Briar is just getting out of a relationship with the worst dude ever, and she's not even sure what it's like to date a nice guy. Luckily, she's met 3 guys who are willing to show her what it's like.
They end up having to share a cabin together, and the three of them have agreed that they're going to "date" while they're away, but when everything is over, they're going to remain friends. I love how Rhys, Gavin, and Hollis all interact with each other. They bring different things to the table, and I honestly couldn't pick a favorite, I liked them so much.

**Thank you Lauren for the ARC**
This book is about Briar (the yoga instructor), Hollis, Rhys and Gavin. She is the yoga and stretch person for the opposite team of the guys. She losses her place and meets them while rescuing her cat.
Flash forward to them having to have a place for a festival that is going on. Her ex is doing a contest on his blog and she wants to win so she enlists the guys to help her do that.
This book flows nicely and feels like her other books and I LOVE that they are in the same world. I can't wait to keep reading these books again and again.
I also love how the chapters are fun titles that go with what the chapter is about. It has multiple POV’s and flows well.

This is such a cutesy Why Choose Spicy Romance!
It has all the tropes you can love:
🐶🐈 cute pets
🌶 a lot of spice
🌶 three hockey players MMCs
🌶 yoga teacher FMC
🐈 cat rescue from a cheating ex
🎈hot air balloon rides
🌶 forced proximity

Tbh this book concentrates way more on romance and spice than plot but that's what makes it so fun and cute and easy to read.
All the characters are lovable!

✨️ Gavin, with his reluctance, dominance and shyness
✨️ Donut, the bestes cutest dog ever
I definitely recommend this book as it's such a fun, cute and fluffy spicy read! Perfect for a sunny May 😇😇

As someone who typically shies away from super spicy romances because they normally lack plot, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed “Well and Truly Pucked” by Lauren Blakely. This spicy hockey romance novel had me hooked from the very start. The witty banter between the characters had me giggling and falling in love with each character. It had all the spice and that perfect rom-com feel and I was here for it!
What really stood out to me was how the steamy scenes didn't overshadow what was happening with each relationship that was being formed. I honestly wondered how this 4 some would work, but hey she made it happen. Each relationship was built on something that Briar was missing in previous relationships. Blakely balanced the romance with a compelling storyline, keeping me engaged and invested throughout. Despite my initial reservations about the heat level, I found myself devouring this book eagerly, unable to put it down.
