What a cute book! Interesting to have a four partner vibe instead of Lauren’s typical trios. I love the different personalities of each of the guys, and how they were able to show FMC what romance and love should look like. All men could learn a thing or two from this book! 3.5 stars!
Just when I think I have an understanding of this series, LB takes it up a level by adding in another gorgeous boyfriend. It is an unconventional romance with three hockey team mates falling for the yoga instructor. Sometimes I will admit to wondering if this could really work, and in some circumstances I believe it could. You’d have to be open minded, able to share equally and understand that love comes in all forms. Who am I to judge? It’s not for me, because I’m extremely jealous but if these people can make it work for them, then go for it. The Why Choose trope is not one I’ll read on a regular basis, but I love the world LB has created within these books. And I feel she and I have similar views on relationships, in that it’s not all about the dude pleasing and doing things for his woman, it works both ways. She can plan dates and outings just as much as he does, it’s why it’s called a partnership. Another thing that resonated with was the list of things a good boyfriend does. And even though I’ve been married for over thirty six years, I still have a good man. I had my own bout of motion sickness / vertigo this week and he came home asap, even though there’s nothing he could do, he knew I needed him to just be here to keep me calm. A bit like Rhys finds talking with Briar calms him from any anxiety. Each of the boyfriends had ways of adding to the dynamic and incorporating each others ideas without prejudice. Briar is one lucky and happy lady.
the honesty together
Perfect friends to lovers book. The honesty they share and open to each other was fun to read. Communication is key and they prove that in this book in a fun and sexy way.

I love reading sports romance in between bigger fantasy books, it allows me to turn off my brain and enjoy their happiness 😌. Which I loved how this story really focuses on being in touch with one’s own body and allowing others to respect your boundaries and self. Very relatable minus the whole why choose narrative.
Well and Truly Pucked is a spicy, why choose hockey romance. This story was a fun escape and my favorite of the series. Briar’s boyfriend suddenly breaks up with her she finds herself in need of a place to stay. She ends up getting double booked with three hockey guys from the rival team she works for. The story was a lot of fun from the beginning and I loved the way they listened to their wants and needs and trusted each other. This book was full of laughs, heat and emotions and I loved these four together.
The audio was performed with duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais and Teddy Hamilton. I loved the cast on this one, they had great chemistry and delivered the top notch banter. Another great audio from Lauren.
