First Thoughts when Finished: Nothing like a little arrest to make you realize that the game has stepped up to "no turning back now"!

Story Thoughts: Poor Gwen! The girl just can't catch a break even when on her very first date with a hot Spartan. Heck, even Logan needs a break because not only is it his dad doing the arresting but he has to relive some old family trama. Overall, Crimson Frost had political intrigue, family issues, and growing pains for Gwen and Logan. This was a game changer in their relationship and also how the world at large plays into the fight. Needless to say, it was a nail biter.

Character Thoughts: I like Gwen! She is spunky, smart, and just downright original. I also really like Logan. He is smart, strong, and not perfect. For some reason it is always important that the leads be flawed. I really like the adults (Grandma, Teachers) in Crimson Frost. They aren't absent or uncaring. They show up! They are there! They are adults. Granted these kids are being taught to fight and take on above their age situations so the adults act accordingly but they are there. Gwen's circle of friends are a big reason why Gwen is able to be kick ass. They have her back and I think a new one made the circle this time. Which is good because I liked him. The characters are what make this series shine!

Audio Thoughts:
Narrated By Tara Sands / Release Date: 12-24-12

I liked Tara Sands narration of this series. She does a great job with Gwen and nails her spunk! The boys voices are less done well but her cadence works for them. This one had more of the guys so the audio rating is lower than normal. Overall this is one of those series that I half read/half listen too but the audio overall works for me.

Final Thoughts: Next one please!

So we start off with Gwen having released what her power can do finally honey, finally. With also her having lost

The predictability of this series is starting to slowly wind me up, now without blowing my own trumpet I'm damn good at figuring out suprises. I'm a terror for birthday suprises and christmas but I'm so damn curious and observant I can't help but wonder and I'm usually spot on.

I'm giving this book an out only because I'm super good at guessing!! I guessed again the evil person. It was so obvious considering
Spoiler everyone is always so nasty

What confused me about this was how easy everyone believed it when Gwen was accused of being the bad guy, like how could everyone have missed what had happened for the past few months? If gossip spreads that quickly about sex and things why or rather how did students miss that Gwen was casually saving the world/ creating more havoc?

I spent a lot of time being so damn angry reading this. Gwen was perceuted a lot during this book and no one apart from her few friends did anything. Even the professors blamed her!

I did love this book for the fact, things are slowly but surely getting done and more mythology is revealed and used well. Bring on book 5

I normally don't read "Our hero has been falsely accused" books. But in this case, I'm glad I did. These books would make a really bitchin' TV show is all I'm saying. I genuinely like them. They are consistently fresh and entertaining. It's rare that a book series gets this long and I'm still as invested as I was from book one. That being said, I am eagerly anticipating the next book.

This one was, by far the best book in the series.

I loved that Gwen was in the thick of the matter, the eye of the storm, so to speak.

I don’t know why, but in the others books it seems that, even though she is Nike’s champion and of course she has to fight and things are going to happen to her, she seems a bit distant from the main events.

That didn’t happen this time. She was actively fighting, both to prove her innocence and because of the situation with Loki and his champion.

The Protectorate’s appearance really brought something more to the story.

And how delicious Logan’s father (who was a big asshole, by the way) was its head and the one wanting to screw her?

Really, Crimson Frost was hell of exciting.

And can I just talk about the events in the end? Holy freaking cow!

Absolutely earth- shattering! I loved Gwen’s behavior and the choices she made, not only for herself but essentially for the ones she loves.

She finally became a worthy champion, at least in my eyes and I can’t absolutely wait to see what more she is going to do.

I like how the series just picks up right after the events of the previous book. Gwen is on trial for releasing the evil God Loki. She is pitted against the Proctorate and all the student last who believe she did it. She receives help from some unlikely sources, hint hint, the gryphons, which is a pretty cool scene. Can’t wait to read the next two.

Endlich habe ich diesen Funken wiedergefunden, weswegen ich die Reihe damals so gerne mochte! Spannendster Teil bis jetzt, und Gwens Entwickling seit Band 1 ist der absolute Wahnsinn.

Crimson frost is the best book in this series so far and I think this series get's better with each book. After the events at the end of last book I had no idea what to expect from this book. It was a really enjoyable read, with again lost of action and I feel like Gwen get's stronger in each book.

The story starts off right in the middle of a scene and quite soon lots of things are happening. The story is fast paced and filled with action.Even though the story is predictable at times I really enjoyed reading it. I just wanted to keep on reading to know what would happen next. So much happens in this book. I really liked the ending and can't wait to read the next book.

I did have a few issues with some plot lines. Like a certain group that should be honest and balanced, but ended up doing some stupid things like there weren't even thinking or listening at all. Also some characters seem a bit too easy to kill and other too difficult.

The characters develop some more in this book. I did think there was too less romance int his book. Gwen develops some more and seems to get stronger each book. We are also introduced to some new characters. We didn't see much from Daphne and Caston in this book, the focus was mostly on Gwen and the side characters played a smaller part.

The world building mostly builds on what is already knows. Adding knowledge of some artifacts mostly. Most of the world is already know at this time, but small pieces are added.

To conclude: a very enjoyable book, this series get's better whith each book. The story is a bit predictable and there were some plot lines I didn't like. Most of the focus was on Gwen in this book and less on the side characters.

This is one of those series where each book is better than the last. In books two and three I had lots of problems with repetitious (seriously, I think some lines were even copy-pasted from the first book), and although this one still has some, thankfully it's taken down a notch.

Other than the repetitions, the other problem I have with this series is that some ideas seem . . . overused, cliche, almost stolen.

The characters aren't extraordinary, but the setting is good and I like the mythological aspect of it.

This book really steps up with the action and suspense; the first real page-turner for me in the series. So yeah, still a very enjoyable series, if not the most original or best written.

this book was soo good. i can't wait tell the next book comes out
