Fabricating Jada by Vanessa Marie was a wonderful read! I was hooked from the beginning. The author did an awesome job on both the characters and the story. I didn’t expect the many emotions I felt while reading this book. I laughed and cried.

Jada is a determined and pretty woman who has her self doubts but keeps going no matter what. I really liked that about her. I could relate to her. Jesse is a jerk. Like BIG time. Good job on that author! After getting further into the story, I ended up liking him as well. There were other characters who I really liked as well. The author did a super great job in creating these characters. By the end of the book, I felt like I knew this people.

This was the first book I’ve read from this author. It’s safe to say I am a fan! I hope she will write another book with these characters. I plan on checking out other books by her. I highly recommend this book! You won’t be disappointed! I give this 5 stars!

Thank you to the author, Vanessa Marie, and Shannon from Once Upon An Alpha for gifting me with an ARC copy of Fabricating Jada in exchange for an honest review!

1. The characters. Let me preface this by saying I don't think I've ever read a book where the main character is a girl who likes to build cars (well, maybe one, but I think it was just drag racing). So I thought it was really cool that the storyline showed scenes of Jada making things from scraps of metal and doing what she loves. These scenes advanced the plot to be sure, but they also did a stellar job of allowing the reader to get to know Jada and what she stands for. I loved her feistiness and her unwillingness to give up, even when it seems like everything is against her. And while she did have her moments, we're all human and we all make mistakes. Her mistakes were pretty realistic ones. There were some mistakes make by other characters that I questioned (DeAnna's major one made me facepalm) but overall, the characters were pretty dang realistic. And for me, the characters make all the difference.

2. The plot. So, like I said, this book revolves around Jada and her fabrication of metals. For her, this is all a journey of learning more about fabrication, finding her voice, and finding someone else who shares her passion. The plot is fairly fast-paced and there's always some conflict going on or something to keep you reading. There is never really a lull and I constantly wanted to know what would come next.

3. The romance. This is one of the things I'm a little leery about. On one hand, it's so adorable (the main romance) and I can't help but sigh and smile and love every minute of their scenes together. On the other hand, it's entirely predictable and I called it from the time the two characters were introduced. It's just one of those things that you expect and is pretty typical. Maybe it's because I've just read too many books so there's nothing that's new for me anymore or maybe it's because it's overdone. Who's to know?

The Final Verdict:

I have to say, the best part of this book is Jada herself. She's feisty and fierce and has the sass to build a mountain. The other characters fit nicely into the world and many jumped off the page for me. While the romance was very predictable for me, I also couldn't help but love it.

This book was a diamond in the rough to be honest. I loved it so much that it actually surprised me. I have it for a while now on my TBR list but for some reason I never started even if it has one of my absolute favorite tropes in it. When a woman tries to or does prevail in a mostly male dominated profession. I just love those.
I never read anything from the author before this and to be honest when I read the first chapter I had my doubt because it’s starts out quite, how do I say it, not amateurish but with a lower quality. But in the second chapter it gets so much better. The whole writing style clears up and becomes really dynamic and easy to read. It kind of sucks you in.

The plot has its ups and downs but at the end if you consider the pro and the cons the positive side is definitely stronger. I personally loved the first half more with the little details about the work and Jada work ethic. Here the tension between Jada and Jesse was unbelievable heavy and that for me put an extra boost for on things. There is nothing wrong with the second hand either but when the romance part steps into the picture the whole dynamic and atmosphere of the book changes. I just loved it, although I could have loved to see a bit more about them as a couple.

Jada is an exceptional main character. She is strong, determined and most of all real. She has a sassy side to herself but the thing that determines her most is her relentless thirst to learning and her talent and imagination.
Jesse is gruff and jaded, his fame changed him or rather changed how his so called friends view him. Because everybody wants something from him he is vary of new people, so Jada seeming indifference throws him off. That is what intrigues him the most at first, then when he witnesses the girl’s potential things speed up for them. He is a bit awkward since he can’t really express his feelings easily but I liked his tall, dark and jaded personality.
The tension between them is palatable from the first moment but it’s a great twist that neither of them wants to act upon it at first for all the right reasons. Their chemistry is off the charts but what liked the most is the careful way they start out.

There are a couple of interesting but annoying side characters too. I hate when the best friend/sister/brother causes stupid problems for the main characters because they think they know best. That’s just plain rude and unfortunately her it’s a recurring motif, on the bright side its kind of the driving force that finally moves the relationship along.

It’s a quick, funny, cute and easy read. I would say it’s also pretty clean because it’s on the lighter side of the spectrum when it comes to romantic interactions. If I’m remembering correctly there are only two steamier scenes in it. I really enjoyed reading this.

I received this book courtesy of Alexis Noelle in exchange for an honest review.

I don't want to give away spoilers. I'm just going to say what I loved or liked about this book.

I loved this book. Really one of the best I've read this year. I loved Jada and Jesse and I loved their relationship and personalities. Jesse was a complete jerk and Jada was just trying to learn from the best to become the best and the results were fantastic. The supporting characters Carter, DeAnna, Miguel, Quinten, Toya, and Mrs. Valentine were all great as well. Each was very well developed, I didn't need to know anything more about them and there wasn't an overload of useless information about them. Their roles in the book were each perfect and significant. They all added to the book. The pacing of this book was fantastic. Such an easy read! I zoomed right through it with no problems.

The other thing I loved about this book was the whole car theme. I know nothing about cars and I loved learning a little bit about fabricating. That was really cool.

I highly HIGHLY recommend this book.

DISCLAIMER: I received an e-ARC of this book (via Alexis Noelle and the author) in exchange for honest review.

Have you ever admired someone because of the work they do? Ever had a dream to learn their methods because they inspire you to move forward with your dream? Well, that's what this book is about, with a generous amount of bickering and bantering between two characters who are extremely attracted to each other.

Jada love fabricating and designing with metal. The thing is, she is always working and giving more than 70% of her paycheck to her father's medical bills. Her family lives in a trailer park and on top of that, she tends to get defensive and is quite independent.

Her dream? To learn from the best. And his name is Jesse Valentine. That dream is about to come true. However, Jesse is a massive jerk and has figured out how to push Jada's buttons. Also, no one stands up to Jesse. But Jada does and she has a comeback for everything he says.

The author adds a new spark of sweet (and steamy) to romance. The romance cooks slowly. Every time you think it will start, the story takes a turn in a slightly different direction. You sit, waiting for something to happen, and it does, but not for a long time.

I loved how the story did not consist of constant sex scenes. Innuendos were given left and right, but that had me laughing so hard that I could barely breathe. Oh, trust me, there was sex, but it was worth the wait. A great weekend read for anyone who likes bad-ass female characters who are awesome with cars and mechanics. 5 Stars.

I loved this!

I really liked this, it had my favorite type of heroine. The disinterested heroine, while she appreciated that the hero was hot she didn't turn into a complete moron just seeing him.

I really loved this easy Sunday afternoon read. The story follows Jada who is a female mechanic who wants to do fabricating (which turns out to be something to do with cars ...who knew) and she gets an opportunity to work with her idol Jesse Valentine, a gorgeous famous car fabricator.
Turns outs he's a bit of a douche and they clash and butt heads constantly and I kinda loved the dynamics between the two.
The story is realistic. ... Well to a point, and shows the struggles of a female in a male dominated role.
I loved how strong Jada was and all the supporting characters where 3 dimensional and great characters, I especially liked Miguel.
The story was sexy and teasing with just the right amount of steaminess to get the blood going. It did feel a little predictable and didn't stir many emotions but it was a brilliant easy read and felt perfect for chilling out with on a lazy day and my gosh is Jesse hot hmm.
I probably would re read this book and any others by Vanessa Marie who's very talented at setting the scene and creating a worthy story.
It is a standalone, not a cliffhanger and a HEA so a brill read that I would recommend
