At the outset I enjoyed this much more than expected as I’m not into themes of afterlife and fantasy. But the premise was intriguing, a library full of books of the other lives you could have lived, if you’d made different choices. A library you visit when hovering between life and death. The writing was light and easy. Nora’s life current life is at its lowest ebb. She’s failed everybody, most especially herself. She doesn’t want to live any more. Can a visit to the Midnight Library change her circumstances? What happens if she can return and see her life without regrets? Can she exist in a better life? Quite a lot of philosophy layered throughout. And though it continued to be a pleasant enough read, it became a bit tedious with Nora not being able to find contentment. But, I guess that was the message. It also tended to be a bit too superficial and saccharine for my taste.

The story felt clunky. I didn’t really get on board with the characters and I could see where it was going from the start. There has just so much talking as well (I don’t know how to explain it)
I really had high hopes but it fell flat

I loved this book. It’s original and makes you think about your life and how you’re living it.

Hits ya right in the gut. Highly recommend. And as a bonus, absolutely beautifully written.

The only way to learn is to live

I loved reading this. As a person who is really interested in Schrödinger's cat and parallel universes, this book kept me on my toes. Plus, I loved the overall message/moral of the book and Nora’s character evolution. Looking forward to read more from this author.
