3.5 stars.

The story had so much potential and it was interesting. The love was a bit too instant for me. I was expected more tension and slow burn. But it was basically 3 chapters and all in. There needed to be more interaction between them to warrant the feelings.

It’s a good novella to set the scene but if not FL box I doubt I would pick it up.

A different kind of vampire royal kingdom story. Lots of back and forth between character chapters.

What to expect *⁀➷
➳ Vampire princess x seer
➳ Evading a prophecy
➳ Sapphic romance
➳ Young adult
➳ Dual POV

When the reviews started rolling in, I figured they were inaccurate (bc I think people rate sapphic romantasy harsher than M/M or F/M) but honestly, I get the reviews now. This was just boring. There wasn't anything necessarily wrong with it. The characters were ok, the plot was kinda meh, the romance was a little lack-luster. I couldn't pin-point for you one particular problem. It's just not very interesting.

This was a very interesting story. There are two different timelines being told at the same time. The characters are amazing and you either like them, love them, or hate them. The book keeps you in suspense for most of the story. I would be interested in another book about this world. There are angels, vampires and humans all trying to control their kingdom. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes a fantasy story.

This is absolutely where my "I rate things by vibes only" is coming in.

I don't think the book was perfect in any shape or form, but good god, I loved this book so much. I loved the story. And most importantly I absolutely loved the characters and how it was so female centric.

I just adore Leyla and Najja, I love them as individual people, they both felt really fleshed out. But I also really love them together. I truly enjoyed how their relationship developed. Of course it moved a bit fast, considering that the book isn't that long. But I still think it was believable.
Also need to gush over Danai, we didn't get that much of her but what we got just made me love her, love her friendship with Leyla so much, cause they would literally go to the ends of the earth for each other.

And then the more toxic gays. Favre and Thana. They are super messy but also super interesting.

Can't wait for book 2 to see how all of this will resolve.
