I absolutely loved this story! I was drawn in from the very beginning. I love Janie, and can relate to her and her insecurities. Fox is a daddy, and Iโ€™m here for it! How possessive he was over Janie, even if she irritated him. I loved the banter, and angst between them!!! Iโ€™m in love with the whole Helโ€™s crew, and canโ€™t wait to read ๐—”๐˜๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜€ next

"Yep, I'm going to have to kill her."

Janie
When my father passed away, I assumed my grieving would be as simple as closing a book and starting another. Only, he had other plans.
Leaving me his beloved tattoo shop, Iโ€™m stuck to figure out what exactly to do with it, all while being constantly reminded of him.
Selling it was the easiest option, but after hearing some of the artists elated at the idea because they swore Iโ€™d ruin it if I took over, and reading the fine print of my fatherโ€™s will, Iโ€™m determined to prove them wrong.
The only problem is Fox.
Heโ€™s arrogant, self-absorbed, and rudeโ€“doing everything in his power to show just how true their words would ring.
Unfortunately for him though, Iโ€™ve never been afraid of a challenge.

Fox
Helโ€™s Ink was supposed to be mine, but after my mentor passed away, I learned he had other plans in mind.
Leaving the shop to someone like Janie was a bad idea. Sure she may be able to make it look good on the surface, but there is more to running this place than social media posts and some paint. Weโ€™re a family and sheโ€™s not welcomed.
Only, the longer sheโ€™s here, the harder itโ€™s proving to believe my own words.
Sheโ€™s too young for me, and far too complicated, but I canโ€™t help but wonder what would happen if I just give in

This had all the tropes Iโ€™m usually down for so I was really looking forward to reading the ARC.
The characters were likeable enough, but I ended up looking forward to the interactions with the side characters more than the main ones.
Fox is exactly the kind of MMC Iโ€™m usually drawn to so was a bit disappointed with the indecisiveness of a grown ass man. I acknowledge trauma response was being depicted so that explains away some of it but it just annoyed me a bit.
Janie grew on me, even if I couldnโ€™t relate to her choices, and again, indecision, I found myself not hating her. Loved the depiction of disability too, itโ€™s refreshing to have a story with this included.
All in all, an enjoyable read that kept me coming back for more, so would recommend, but not one Iโ€™m likely to read again.
Am definitely keen to read the other books in this series.

Fox by DJ Krimmer is book 1 in the Helโ€™s Ink series and it was so good. If you love books about swoony heroโ€™s, age gap, and enemies to lovers then you will love this book.

Janie grew up at Helโ€™s Ink the tattoo shop her father Tony owned. Instead of following in her fatherโ€™s footsteps she becomes a popular social media influencer.  Fox has worked at Helโ€™s Ink for more than two decades. He not only works for Tony but he is his mentor and friend.

Tony unexpectedly dies and leaves the shop to Janie who doesnโ€™t want it. She is ready to sign it all over to Fox when she overhears a conversation that wasnโ€™t meant for her.  She then decides to show them thatโ€™s she not just a girl who is on social media and decides not to sign the shop over.

My heart hurt reading what Fox experienced in his life and why he never wanted to be in a relationship. It was sad to read how Janie never felt good enough not knowing how proud her dad really was of her. Fox and Janieโ€™s attraction to each other was so strong but both were keeping the other at arms distance. This book was so good!! I canโ€™t wait to read the rest of the books in the series. I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

I loved so much about this book. I'm obsessed with Fox and I want to be Janie. I loved both of their character development. The spice was phenomenal, too!

I read Fox when it was originally released and absolutely adored the book. I will eat up an age gap and add enemies to lovers to that? Itโ€™s an absolute delight to read.  The special edition of Fox? Itโ€™s even better than the original version.

Given the fact that itโ€™s a DJ Krimmer book, the banter is already top notch.  The banter between Fox and Janie is my favorite thing about their relationship.

I loved that we saw more of Janieโ€™s father, Tony.  I felt like as the reader I got to know him better.  Previously we were told about interactions with Tony.  In this version, we have flashbacks that show us how Tony was as a person.

I loved the bonus chapter that is included at the end of the book.  Itโ€™s exactly what I wanted and am so happy that it was included. ๐Ÿ˜€

I cannot wait to read the special editions of Atlas, Ash, Derek, and Stevie.  I am excited to get to know the people of Helโ€™s Ink again.
