A story about a widow who receives a set of letters from her newly deceased husband. He wrote and mailed them before he died, with the instructions to open one note each month. It was a little predictable at times, but very sweet overall and I enjoyed it.

PS. I love you, one of my most favourite and treasured books. There will always be a copy of this on my bookshelf. I first read this book 19 years ago. I decided to listen to it.
The way this book captured me and the emotion I felt reading this for a second time was the same as it was all those years ago. Be prepared to laugh and cry. The way and pace this book is written is just right. Perfect.
There are so many beautiful messages and reflections on life and how we should treasure and live it to the fullest.
I will always recommend this book to anyone. It is truly beautiful <3

Sinceramente, amé el libro.
Es un libro el cuál te hará reír y de vez en cuando te hará un nudo en la garganta.
Sin duda, lo recomiendo muchísimo.

really enjoyed this book. It was really beautiful. At times it was a little boring but overall good book.

Holly and Gerry were a happily married young couple- not perfect, but happy. When Gerry is diagnosed with a terminal illness, he realizes that Holly will struggle without him, so he does what he can, through a series of letters to be opened after he’s gone.

We watch Holly grieve, struggle, and, ultimately, finally grow up.

I liked it. There are no miracles here. Holly still misses Gerry terribly, and she isn’t ready for another relationship, so there’s no big happy ending, but — she does finally realize that she’s going to be okay.

Better than the movie.

I enjoyed this book. I watched the movie when it came out and it was horrible and barely resembled the book.
