There were things I couldn't relate to so I skipped over parts in the beginning chapters. Then there were things I absolutely loved towards the later chapters. From about chapter 3 on, there were so many insights and it's written in a pretty readable way even if you've never heard some of the psychology phrases.
Some of the later chapters, 'Becoming the Love you seek' and 'Empowering you relationships' were noteworthy and I really want to implement some of those ideas!

While the book started off really well, I found myself quite disappointed with the second half of it. There were some really good ideas there that weren't expanded on nor coherent with the rest of the text. Furthermore, the constant description of the author's own life, choices and struggles were not so necessary (in my view, at least) and could've been given as examples but didn't need to be whole chapters. At some point, it felt like I was reading someone's diary more than a self help book and while it's important to understand the author's journey, I found it too much.

Book recalled to library. I've put another hold on it.
Somewhere around the point where she tried to pull quantum mechanics in with a straight face to explain her notion of a soul showed she was clearly out of her depth in scientific realms and quite willing to make things up as she went.
Disregarding my personal grievance with overreach, I found I am uncomfortable with the permanence and backward blames of your childhood on everything that you are now. There 's almost a sense of entitlement to you feeling how you feel. Every maybe you don't even know how you feel, but you should know and it's caused by trauma.
