Out of the Shakespeare plays I've experienced so far (i.e. Othello, Taming of the Shrew, and Romeo and Juliet) Much Ado about Nothing is my favorite.

It’s not my favorite Shakespeare but I would like to watch an adaptation. I think this is the first of his plays where nobody dies.

Ah my favourite Shakespeare play! I decided to re-read this before watching the Jamie Lloyd production of this play, and oh boy did I enjoy the re-read (and the show)! As a romcom lover it just makes me so happy to see within this play the romcom tropes we are so familiar with today (e.g., enemies to lovers, miscommunication, the break-up before the happily ever after). Like wow my man Shakespeare was really out here inventing the romantic-comedy genre and being a messy bitch by making his characters delve into ploys and schemes!
I had studied this play in high school (hence my bias towards it) and it was nice to re-read the dialogue that has somehow been laying dormant in my brain for the past decade. And I just love Beatrice and Benedick's dialogue to one another it's just so witty and fun!
