Wow! Inked In Lies definitely carries on the tradition of the other books in the Fallen Men MC series. It’s freaking amazing. I laughed, I cried, I stayed up all night and didn’t put the book down until I finished it. Nova has so much more to his character than you are led to believe from the other books. I love Nova and Lila. Their story is beautiful, emotional and haunting. I totally couldn’t get enough. And I can’t wait to read Priest and Bea’s story!!!

Wow, I did not want this story to end. The one thing I can say about the Fallen men is that they are poetic. I'm not sure if my ovaries are in retrograde or I'm a big sap but the beginning of this book had me in tears. If you haven't read any of The Fallen Men series, this is an age-gap romance. This is a love story that spans over years of their relationship. There is a 12 year difference between Lila and Nova. Lila has loved Nova for as long as she can remember. They are best friends that morphed into so much more. However, Nova is so unwilling to acknowledge it because of his past. Lila was broken hearted for years because she thought this was unrequited love. But when these two come to their senses? DAMN! The scenes in this book gave me hot flashes (I had no business reading this at work). It's impossible not to fall in love with the character's in Giana's books. The love between Nova and Lila was so beautiful because it came from this amazing friendship. Safe to say I wasn't disappointed.

High 3 stars.
The first 25% had me in tears multiple times, but once we were firmly in the present (future?) my emotional attachment dropped.
Even though this is a standalone within the series, I can’t help but think I might like this more if I read the others first. I could maybe see myself increasing my rating to a four upon a reread with more understanding on the world/side characters. I do plan on going back to #1 in the series since I liked this one. There was also some great imagery and prose in this book; I think I’ll like Darling’s other works. Though on the flip side, while not bad, the sex scenes weren’t totally my favorite so you win some you lose some.

I have seen this series all over the place and hadn't gotten around to reading it because I thought it was something else but I really did love this book I loved the character development and the different plot twist throughout the book.

I seem to make a habit of skipping books in a series if they're not required for the plot, but I read #1 a while back and skipped all the way here to #5.
This is a great angsty, dark, twisted age-gap MC romance. I would definitely say it's improved on the age-gap romance of the first book. This has better emotional buildup, development of side characters, and overall execution. Lila and Nova are frustrating, vulnerable, emotional, and irrevocably belong to to the other, whether they know it or not. It's a long road to happy for the two of them, but they take that uphill climb and make it theirs.
