DNF: a highly cerebral and difficult to read text on the effects of trauma on the brain. I think maybe difficult for me to read as I contend and wrestle with my own trauma, and not currently providing the insight I am seeking for my future practice. Something I will likely revisit later in my professional life.

i listened to this on audio and while i did enjoy this book, and felt that the topics it covered were important and educational, i found the writing style difficult. it read very much like a text book, and used very scientific language. I feel that if you didn’t have a background in psychology, this one would be difficult to digest, but i still enjoyed learning all about trauma & ways to help others cope with it.
