This last book in this trilogy was exactly what the series deserved. All the pieces fell into place, and one by one the plot lines came together and started making more and more sense. I love how much Nic and Cam give for their family, for each other, and how they center each other and have the other’s back. They’re amazing!

Nic and Cam go after the mobster targeting Nic. Final book! Nic is in his element here - brilliant and lethal, and Cam is also a total badass. But surfacing ghosts of the past means it's Nic's turn to struggle, but Cam is there every single step of the way, holding him up and loving him in all ways. Though Nic's past tangling with his present also meant that Cam faced some uncertainties of his own, and I loved how Nic grounds him by harnessing the strength of their love for each other. I ate up all the tender and sweet moments between them!

Despite all the shit thrown at them, they remain so in love and so devoted, it's just beautiful. I did wish for more sexy times though! 😂 The suspense/action is nail-biting, and Aidan/Jamie (♥) + the family remain 💯 amazing. Aidan and Nic's BFF-ness was a highlight, too!

Noble Hops By Layla Reyne
5 stars

When Nic's father suddenly dies, the case with Vaughn gets first priority at Nic, Cam and their group of friends. Old ghosts reappear And they shake Nic's foundation. As Nic and Cam still have to learn to communicate and open up for the secrets, uncertainties run freely and create some unrest in Nic and Cam's relationships. But if they manage to get Vaughn out of their life and trust in each other, they'll come out stronger on the other side.

I absolutely love Nic and Cam. The original series with Aidan and Jamie was a favorite, but now I can't say which couple I love the most. Often the "original" couple only make sporadic visits in the spin-off series, but I love how much Jamie and Aidan was "integrated" in Nic and Cam's story.

The suspense took up most of the story. I didn't mind that. Since this is the last book in the trilogy, and therefore there will necessarily be a lot of questions to answer and storylines to pick up on. Men selvom de forskellige mysterier med Cam's søster og Nic's far har fyldt meget, så har Nic og  Cams forhold været det bærende for serien.
Throughout the series, Nic and Cam's internal struggles and relationship-angst have created problems for their relationship and future. But together they managed to develop trust in each other and their collected family. It has been great to stand on the sidelines and keep up with this development. And as a reader, it has been great to feel the angst that was embedded so deep in both main characters. The best, however, has been when it came to the developments that resulted in super hot and romantic culmination.

4.5 stars!

Cam and Nic have been a fave couple for me alongside Aiden and Jamie, and finally getting the conclusion to their story was awesome, I couldn't put it down - except for the basic human function of sleeping :P.

Cam and Nic are back in this last installment to finally take down Vaughn once and for all, who has been a looming threat since book one.

I did give .5 stars off for not as much romance as I wanted - it was there, but a big part of this book was focused on the case, and Nic's past and all that - and the sex felt rushed, mostly, and given that this was their final book, I feel that those sex scenes, or at least one of them, could have taken it's time and lasted longer.

But ultimately it didn't take too much away from the story, which was exciting and tense and page turning. And despite not as big a focus on Nic and Cam's relationship, it was still there, subtle but strong, and every interaction they had was permeated by their love for each other, and they didn't give up or waver in that love throughout all the ups and downs in this book - even if there was a doubt a few times.

This book tied up all the loose ends well, too - taking care of the moles in the FBI and the Attorney's office Nic worked at, and finally getting Vaughn and Nic and Cam getting to settle down and be happy together. Plus the things from Nic's past that needed to be dealt with, talked about with Cam.

I've loved these two together so much, and I definitely want another short about them, at least, like we got with Aiden and Jamie, and hopefully it can
Spoilerbe Cam and Nic's wedding as well :D Y/Y?

I very much recommend this if you've been keeping up with this series and have been enjoying it. It might not have had as much Nic and Cam together, just them, alone, as I wanted, but it was so good and entertaining and the ending was perfect. Two massive thumbs up from me!

4.5 Stars so rounding up to 5

I’ll get the necessities out of the way first. This book is not a standalone…at the very minimum you need to read the first books in this series and as I stated in my review of book one in this series, I really think you need to read the Irish and Whiskey series as those characters play a pretty big role here.

OK…on to the meat of the review…I do so love Cam and Nic especially when they’re working together out in the open. I love that they don’t hide their relationship. These guys continue to work the case involving Nic’s father, his death forcing Nic to give Cam the full story of his past. Said past comes roaring back to the present and nearly drops Nic to his knees a couple of times. I am not a fan of angst, so I was thrilled to see Nic quickly dispel Cam’s insecurities and jealousies when they reared their ugly heads a couple of times. Their relationship is as strong as ever…still full of the palpable emotional and sexual chemistry we’ve come to expect from them. I think Nic might still hedge Cam slightly as my favorite of the two but it’s a close call…they both can be sweet and then turn into a bada$$ at the drop of a hat.

We meet a character that was only mentioned in passing previously but his appearance sets up nicely for future books. I would also like to see a story/series with Eddie.

I like that these guys got their HEA but am as sad to see this series end as I was the Irish and Whiskey series end. I wouldn’t complain about more from all of those characters!

Noble Hops is well-written and moves along at a steady pace, the characters are interesting, and there are plenty of questions answered in this finale. However, it ended up being just an okay read for me. There's suspense, and the author throws plenty of twists in there, but much of the story requires a little too much suspension of disbelief, and the mystery aspect fell a bit flat. On the romance side of the story, Nic and Cam certainly have chemistry, but given their professions, they're surprisingly insecure in their relationship. Some of that can be allowed for the required angst in a romance, but it wore a little thin. In the end, the story was good enough for me to want to finish it, but it isn't something I'll be thinking about days from now. This is the third in a continuing series and does not stand on its own.

Finally! An installment that felt like what a whiskey-verse book should be! Now give me that Eddie Garrett romance please and thanks.

Tristan James's voice is pleasant the problem is he doesn't give the characters distinct voices. *Le sigh!*

This was a wonderful ending to Nic and Cam's story.

I Loved

- The mystery, kept me on the edge until the end. We finally get all the answers, that was satisfying.

- Nic and Cam's relationship - Their relationship is effortless, chemistry on point and the sex hot!

-The family feel between all the characters is refreshing.

-Jamie and Aiden's cameo is always welcomed.

Overall it was an entertaining read.
