I have had this on my TBR for nearly a year but my library and local bookstores did not stock it. Was so excited to find audible has this series available and you don’t need a credit to listen to it! Loved the audiobook readers they did a brilliant job and wow what a story. Had lots of twists and I was on the edge of my seat!

One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig

I really enjoyed this gothic fantasy novel - it was very original concept and I loved the atmosphere
- gave me Jane Eyre vibes. This book would be awesome if turned into a mini tv series. Can’t wait to read the next part of this duology. If you like this book, also try Belladonna.

Elm and Ione are Lucien and Elaine fanfiction and yes I will die on this hill! But I loved it! The story had great pace and was a satisfying end of this duology. Everything tied in so well together and no lose ends. I will forever recommend the shepherd king books to whoever will listen to me :)

Check & Mate by Ali Hazelwood

I don’t know what Ali Hazelwood puts in her books (crack??) but I always chew through them within 24 hours. Loved learning about chess but god Mallory drove me bananas. Nolan has the patience of a saint to deal with her but then again he is a GM of chess ♟️

I’ve heard a lot of people rave about this book but I dunno it was just like meh it was ok? Solid 3 out of 5 - I didn’t hate it and I didn’t love it. Hoping it gets better.

Im sorry but every time Nadir said “inmate” I got the ick. Both the main characters were so annoying in this book which was such a shame because the first book was so fun :( DNF page 175.
