Love Marissa Meyers writing style! The characters in this series truly feels real due to simple things woven into beautiful sentencences. Its a slow read but not in any way boring. I usually hate slow books but it really doesnt feel like it. The story is interesting and highly inspired by things that arent foreign to me, tho I do understand how other readers would be confused. I love the characters and how their friendships are all so complex yet simple at the same time. Cant wait to read the next one to see where the road to finding Glendower will take them.

I was disappointed by a few aspects of this book. Mainly the pace and at times it was boring. It took me a long time to finish it just because I didnt have the desire to read it. The drift between Mal and Alina

(and the weird triangle that was introduced with Nikolai)

was uneccessary and frankly felt like it was there to fill space. I did enjoy the writing and the side characters are splendid!

From the first chapter of this book I was completely hooked! The Plot was predictful but it was still entertaining and delivered in a new way. Though I deeply wished it would end a different way, the ending was heavily forshadowed but to me it seemed intentional by the author.
