soooo after all the reviews i read i was waiting for so much to read this book! i read that much of good opinions and bad ones so before reading it i was kinda shared and trying to not think about all of it. if i could i would give to this book 3,5 stars on 5 cause i really really loved the characters, mostly Rufus and also the idea of the story in itself! with this book, you come to ask yourself some huge question, about life, relationship, how to live and destiny mostly (personally).

SPOILERS PART

the things i’m kinda disappoint about are just : the way the love story came ? AND the way they die !! i mean, from the beginning i knew they were going to (even if i have some doubt in the middle of the book) but I’m just so mad about it??? during all the book they pay attention to the SMALLEST thing that can kill them and then what? matheo knew he had some troubles in his kitchen and despite of it he does it anyway, and mostly, at literally less than two hours before the 24h. i mean, in my pov at that moment you pay even more attention to see if it’s possible to stay alive ?? idk and about Rufus, it was pretty the way the author wrote it but as I said during all the book they pay attention to look at the left and right before doing anything and here? anyway
about the love story, i know that everything was and had to be, precipitated BUT if you don’t know, before reading it that there is a love story in this book, you can think that it’s just a simply story about their friendship soooo idk they could have done something maybe more obvious but during ALL the book, not only from the 3/4 part of the book:/

and my pov about destiny is that their death could have been more meaningful if for example, matheo died because of rufus because of the gang!! they died anyway because of their meet so why in that way? idk it’s deeper than that lmao but im kinda disappointed about that end

BUT i spent really good time in reading it, i literally read it in 2 days!! characters were endearing and some situations were kinda funny and ironic (knowing the situation ahah)

actually i finished this book few days ago but i just CAN’T MOVE ON!!! i loved the characters so so much and of course the story !! i loved the way the author wrote the book, words used, also not only always the keralie’s POV and how she created the plots ! during all your reading you’re making theories and thinking about why and how a LOT and this is what i loved because it also makes you think and not just reading idk if it makes sense.

my biggest theorie wasn’t right BUT i thought about that end so i wasn’t really surprised but at the same time like OH MY GOD IS THAT REALLY HAPPENING RN???

anyway this book is really really really good in my pov, fresh, addictive, well written, characters are cute and the lovestory too !! i loved keralie like she was a bit different that the main usual characters and VARIN OMG he was just SO SO SOFT LIKE ???? i think it’s one of the 1st time where the male main characters hasn’t a huuuuge ego and isn’t stupid lmao like he is just very very kind and soft: loved that, it changed!!

also just about Mackiel, i think it was really interesting to see the impact he had on Keralie and how they were considering each other. it allowed, i think the development of Keralie, like author wasn’t just writing about her thoughts at the moment, she was also writing about how she was seeing things, what traumatized her and the effects it had on her, how she deals with.
i just wish the author would developed more about their relationship with Mackiel and his trauma! like when she’s talking about the anger he has, that could have been interesting and also this special link they have, i would love a little more development and how they’re counting for each other even if it’s toxic like idk that could have been interesting !

anyway go read it it’s dope from the very very beginning until the end!!!!

i just loved this book as much as i loved the last ones like??? can we just talk and take a minute to talk about Cress and Thorne

The question is: WHY IS THIS BOOK SO UNDERRATED ????? when i started to reading it i wasn’t expecting for something that good and THAT amazing. the author described the universe of the book so perfectly like sometimes it reminded me of avatar for all the fantastic part. she literally created a whole universe and world with a lot of details comparing to a lot of other dystopian books; like here, we could literally write a dictionary with all the words that described the world of Shadowscent. I just loved how perfectly she transcribed her thoughts and imagination in the book. Comparing to other ones, characters aren’t the most developed BUT the universe where the book takes place is.

I loved the relationship between the main characters like it wasn’t the point of the story but still, they were incredibly cute and healthy for each other. Everything was simple and « soft » ahhh i just loved them. Ash is one of the cutest and most precious character i ever read about, he’s caring, good, interesting and interested by people, curious AND OMG i just loved him. Rakel is also a really good character, sometimes (almost all the time actually) i don’t like the female main character because they are wrote as « perfect » but here as all human being she has her defaults, fears, doubts but she’s also very brave, full of dreams and hope and idk she’s very adorable too, i loved her!!

Happily i have the 2nd tome just right here by my side so i don’t have to wait too much before reading it
