I finished these books in one sitting, they're that good!
I loved the Japanese setting and also Lily, Lily is such a great character that unfortunately we barely see throughout the series. There were some grammatical errors but that's usual.
I really think the authors need an editor.

This was definitely a little darker than its predecessor.
Yet there is a balance of light and dark, and it's almost beautiful.
I love Celeana, I love how she's got good and bad, she tricks everyone into thinking she was successful, but she protects the targets instead.

This book is definitely one of my favourites in the series just because I feel like it's a turning point for all of the characters. The book did lack a spark at certain points and Chaol got on my nerves occasionally. The return of Kaltain was something I like since it sets up future books, also I feel so bad for her and she's such a complex character.

Now onto my rant which I have marked as a spoiler.
Spoiler UGHHHHH NEHEMIA WAS ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS IN THE GODDAMED SERIES AND SHE HAD TO DIE!!! WHY DID SHE HAVE TO? WHAT PURPOSE DOES IT SERVE FOR HER TO DIE??? SHE WAS SUCH A GOOD TUTOR AND I GUESS IT MEANS THERES GONNA BE SO MUCH MORE LOST INFORMATION

While the book was enjoyable and had an interesting premise, it lacked certain things in the plot to keep the intrigue, as for the characters, well, they weren't the greatest, I found myself disconnected and felt that they could have been written better, and seriously, Jessica Day? Since she's a new midnighter, she has have her last name as day doesn't she?
I was left disappointed by the end of this book, this is a case where the premise was better then the actual story itself.

Alright, not my fave though.
The dark academia theme was alright.
Liked the characters and the plot, I think this will be a great series!!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

The fault in our stars is the one John Green book I've actually been able to finish.
However, though there are some serious things, the corny quotes really degrade the serious situations that some people in real life suffer from like the main characters do. It's almost an insult.

It's cringy yet I enjoyed reading it, until the end, when I was mad and also just kind of sick and tired of the book. It tried to be relevant but it became cheesy and pretentious.
However, the ending is sad, almost heartbreaking.
I feel like this is a guilty read for me because though it was corny and at times annoying, I didn't mark it as a DNF and I kept going, till the very end.
It's enjoyable and heartbreaking and cheesy at some points.

Honestly, after having to watch Hank Green videos in school,
I keep thinking of him while writing this review.

This was such a great book because we got an expanded cast of characters, we get to see James Brownstone and Izzy too! I love Izzy and wish we had a series about her after school.
-I wish Izzy's parents and Eireka and Mara were there because Alison's family were there.
I hope they team up more in the series and we get more of a Brownstone/Berens effect.
Am I the only one who loves how they call Izzy "Little Berens"

Note: A character is an asylum and there are some details about needles in the scene.
I loved this oneeee so much,
This takes place before the School of Necessary Magic Alison Brownstone series and it's set in Austin, Texas. This fantasy isn't too long and it's got comedy, swearing and magic. It's such an easy read, Leira is such a good heroine, she's not some girly girl, she's a cop and she kicks butt while swearing all day long. I also love Hagan, her fellow cop and friend, he was hilarious.
But who stole the show was.... *drum rolls*
The Troll- whose name is YumF****, his name conbines Yum and the F word. The intials YTT stand for YumF**** obviously and Tiberius Troll.
I love YTT so much and wish he was a plushie to be honest.
