cute, quick, and fun! a good little story to read when I don’t want to start a longer book.

the ending made zero sense, if you wanted that to be a thing the book shouldn’t have been in first person? the pacing was so off, her personality shifted so many times, and there were so many quotation marks that were off/spelling/grammatical errors. i was never shown anything about their personalities, it was always spelled out word for word. i really wanted to like this, but it just wasn’t happening.

a tender, heartbreaking love story about two young men in france that is split into three chapters set in 1984, 2007, and 2016.

idk what to say except for this is such a short story and should not be this heart wrenching. it’s devastating and beautiful and terrible. one boy grew to accept and seemingly love who he was, the other lived in shame and secrecy.

genuinely such a tragedy.

“i think, in the end he remained hidden all his life.”

there are no words.

loved this one so much more during this read through. manon’s arc was amazing. aelin & Rowan have my heart, and lysandra and elide are moving on up.

chaol had a rough time in this book but i’m working on forgiveness.

so stinking action packed, but also had so many sweet quiet moments between the characters. so good.

I’ve read this book at least 4-5 times over the years, it’s somehow become a comfort read. the writing isn’t the best, but i love the story for some reason, even if it makes zero sense and there are so many plot holes it’s insane. just an easy, fun read.

the only reason this isn’t 5 stars is because it fell into the Mariana zapata trap of her bringing up things that could have a full plot point, but it barely being touched on and that drives me CRAZY. but i do love and adore her books, and this one was no exception.

Dallas & Diana are the loves of my life, he is such. Grumpy butt & i adore it. He is so GONE for her and she’s so dumb about it at first.

Loved Josh & Louie and parent/child relationship they had with Diana. She was not a perfect parent by any means, but she did so good with them.

Love love loved this, idk why it took me so long to actually sit down & read it.

UGH. Obsessed. Mallory & Nolan own me. I’m also now harboring a weird desire to get really good at chess. He was so unapologetically GONE for her it added 5 years to my life. Still fighting the urge to scream.

Only complaints are the use of “AF” & “VSCO aesthetic.” That’s too much for me.
