Academic rivals-to-lovers done right. After reading this book I kind of get the hype around this book.

Books with enemies to lovers tropes are angsty and tense as it is but when it is done in an academic setting, all of the emotions are doubled over. I love the character development of Sadie from people pleaser to no-more-taking crap. The banter and competition between Sadie and Julius were fun to read. Also, that medal scene was my favourite. Love how he wins it for her. 😭

Another scene that touched my heart was how her mother tells her to let things be as it is. That she doesn't have to be perfect all the time and that all she wants for her is to be happy and okay. That was kinda emotional.

Has it ever happened that I read a book by Ali Hazelwood and didn't like it? No, never. Although I was sceptical about it only because were and vampires and paranormal are not my thing but all the reviews convinced me. Also, the blurb sounded so unique I mean I never heard of a marriage of convenience between a were and a vampire ever before so yeah that did it too. Andddd I don't regret it a bit. I really enjoyed the mystery, characters, writing, and plot. If you're in a reading slump, you should really go for this book.

LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I find this book a mix of comforting and crushing. The topics it talks about and the way it is written hits home.
