To come out of something so damaging and so traumatic and be able to articulate her thoughts and feelings so beautifully is one of the bravest things I’ve ever witnessed. Chanel Miller is so strong for this, I can’t imagine the pain she carries.

This book was pretty funny, it was super unique plot wise and I wouldn’t mind reading it again later. I loved the fact that this characters internal monologue kind of just drove the whole story. Very refreshing.

I wish the author would have split this into a minimum of two books, or at least not gone almost all the way to the present. It limited the length you could stay in one topic. But overall pretty good for an overview of basically a whole history of latin america
